SOURCE: why dosent my dryer get heat

Look at the gas valve coils to determine if they are faulty. If the igniter radiates but then shuts off before it ignites the gas, then the coils are probably bad. Replace the coils and your problem should be solved. Also, if you find the igniter working properly then the problem may be with the radiant heat sensor. The sensors are usually located close by the igniter so are easily visible. Hire a repairman to replace these faulty parts.

I'm looking for a manual for white Westinghouse spacemates 3 to change dryer drum belt

You can do it without a manual. Unplug the unit. Remove the screws on the back that hold the top lid on. Look down inside the back and you will see the belt running from a pulley on the motor to a large pulley on the drum. It may has the access through a rear panel. Most don't need an adjustment for tension, just peel the old one off if necessary and replace the new one. Take the serial numbers etc off the plate on the back when you look for a new belt. Check the drum and motor rotate smoothly before fitting the new belt.

Dryer wont heat up the elemnt tested good

Make sure BOTH hot legs of your 220 are active. Sometimes, one half of your circuit breaker will trip. When this happens, you will have 120 volts to your drum motor, but an open circuit to the heating coils. Just re-set your breaker by cycling it off and on again. Otherwise, check for continuity of the thermal switch (in line to coils).

The stackable washer will not agitate

Give me a model number. Fridgedare and White westinghouse made some of these stacks for Kenmore. I'll need to know the manufacture. Reply with the whole model number and I'll help.

Hot Surface Indicator Light has not turned off since last night.

if the hs ind light does not turn off then that particular heating elemnt needs to be replaced.heat sensor is built in the elemnt.when elemnt is turned off and it cools down it makes a switch to open and inturn ind light turns off.but sometimes thst gets stuck and light remains on.but do not worry abt element,it remains off,its just that indicator light that remains on.

Kenmore Dryer not heating

thermal fuse is blowing due to improper ventilation.their is a clog somewhere from dryer to where dryer vents outside.thermal fuse is located at top of your elemnt will replace the thermal fuse and your high limit fuse at the bottom of the elemnt cage.but have your venting checked or swept out.

My hot light stays on and every thing is cool to touch

yes , hopefully you have a seperate indicator light for each of the elemnts, makes it easier to see which has gone bad, but if yo know which burner you were usins at time of incident then you can assume that it was that elemnet. replacement of the elemnt is required, for a it has a short in the theremistor, not a hazard, more of an inconvience, so i would have it taken careof but no need to rush its not an emergency, its only an faulty indicator, the elmnt is not actually heating

We need to install the lower heating element in the upper oven

ill aasumme that yo can see the elemnet in question, and its not a "hidden bake" elemnet located under the oven floor.. should be an easyrepair, with a little bit of patience. don trush shoudl only take 10 min anyway. TURN OFF POWER> LIVE WIRES TO ELEMENT AT ALL TIMES. REGARDLESS OF UNIT ON OR NOT!!! ther ewill be 2 screws along the bottom of the element holding the elemnt in the unit. after emoving carfully slide the old elemnt out a few inches, slowly pull out, for the wires are still attached to the back of elemnt and you want them to stay there you dont want them to disconnect and fall behind unit, (you will then need to remove the unit form the wall to access htem). so pull slowly espescially if you feel resistance in the wiring. after you getit out far enough simply unplug and plug in the new one reinstalll and you shoud be fine
