There might be many reasons. Do you hear any humming noise when you Turn ON the oven. If yes, it might be a defective Magnetron.

The know more about Magnetron, read :-

Now, the procedure to check Magnetron is :-

Note - You need to have some appliance repair experience or you should be really good at electronics to perform the above.

There is a thermostat inside (mounted to the side of the magnetron) which senses excessive heat and opens up, disconnecting the power to the oven.

If that's the case, unplugging it and plugging it back in will not fix it. It will come back on by itself after it cools down. That's another indication that it might be a thermostat kicking out.

It might be due to Bad connection. Usually on most Models. it's a bad connection on the low voltage transformer on the circuit board!

But it could be anywhere in the AC supply line, which starts at the house breaker and goes through the AC outlet, the power cord, internal wiring, internal fuse, and a thermostat or two before it gets to the control board.

Last but not least, it could be a faulty Control Board. I am sorry, but there is no short path. You need to check all these in the same order as i mentioned.

Let me know, if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Can this be fixed by me?

Could be a bad door switch or a bad relay. With the door closed try gently pushing it up and down if at some point the unit fires up, one of the door switches is not making contact. As for the relays they are on the circuit board, but not replaceable unless you are very good at De-soldering. Also keep in mind microwave units have very high very deadly voltages stored in the capacitors 4000V that can easily kill so don't mess with them unless you know what you are doing!

Why doesnt start button work on microwave oven?

In modern Microwaves switches are printed on two sheets of pvc foils and are activated by pressing them by thumb or fingers. With constant use, the surface of the switches becomes defective due deposits of nonconductive material, dust or carbon etc.
The solution is exact replacement of the keyboard, irrespective of other switches working or not. If the replacement keyboard is not
available, the defective switch can be salvaged by tracing back the two printed lines to the originating points on the hard board of the microwave. Get two insulated wires soldered to these points and solder the other ends of the wires to a mechanical push button and fix the same outside the body of the microwave at a convenient place. If the defect was in the printed circuit key board, pressing the new switch should start the microwave.

Look like is gona work but,i click start is not work

please see the next topic:
Microwave Runs, but no Heat OK, get ready, this micrwave oven repair can take some time. This is where you must be able to read a wiring diagram and do some "live" checks on parts. First easy check is to make sure power is coming off your control board at the MW relay. Make sure of the wires and test here, if you have 120 volts at this point, you have ruled out a lot of parts that could be the problem. You have now ruled out any switch problems, control board problems, or a thermostat or 2.
If you do not have power from that MW relay on the control board, you must trace the wiring back to see if the proper voltage is going through your switches, any thermostats, and arriving at your control board. Your wiring diagram on your sheet will show you where and what to test. Below is a general switch test troubleshooting guide.

I have a microwave oven (over the range) panasonic nnp295sf, it is having a problem that whenever I turn to start microwave on the bus fuse is burnt! when I put a new on everything works, except when I...

I presume you mean the fuse within the microwave.
If it is doing that, firstly check the door switches, if there is no problem then check the diode and capacitor supplying the magnetron. BEWARE, THERE ARE LETHAL VOLTAGES AT THAT POINT!!!
I suspect there will be a problem with the door switches.

Microwave doesn't work

Sounds like you have a faulty control panel. I would use a meter and test the power from the control board to the magnetron and circuit board. Chances are the control panel is faulty

Sparp R 930 not heating, turntable not turning

I just repaired mine with the same symptoms. I found that the bottom microswitch on the door (there are 3 switches) was faulty. It started as open, when the door closed, the switch closed (good), but when the door was fully closed the switch was open again. I went to Electronic City with the switch in hand, they found me a duplicate that cost me $2.50. BTW - you must take out the door switch assembly, 3 screws plus wires, in order to work on the switch. Also, put the assembly back in so that the door latches close/open the switches correctly. -jk

Microwave turns on and counts down but won't heat up/cook

Ok just figured this out! It is a problem with the alignment on the lower door switch. I took the cabinet off and lifted up on the door switch slightly and voila! It works. You could probably fix this without taking it apart, just lift up on the door ever so slightly. I hope this works for you.

The most common suspect here is a shorted high voltage capacitor, since you say it blew the fuse right after Start, but I would certainly suggest checking the door switches and door switch mounts first. Just be sure you installed the right fuse. It would be a The switch mounts seem to break at about this point in the life of these models.
