Have you removed the songs and it still sees them? If so, you will find a text file known as SETTINGS.DAT, or something similar. Delete it, and then re load the songs, wait for it to generate a library index.

MY lap top does not have a cd drive and i need to get a download for the sansa clip. so that i can put music on it off of my laptop

No extra software is needed if you are running XP or Vista. Just plug the player into an empty usb port and wait for windows to recognize it. Then you can drag and drop your music into the music folder under the internal memory of the player or you can sync it through Windows Media Player.

When your computer is in POST have you tried entering your CMOS to check that your system is actually recognizing that the drive is physical? If not try that and then check to make sure that the jumpers on the drives are set properly and then reinstall your software and this should correct your problem. Good Luck

I have the philips gogear digital audio/video player(sa6185).how do i move video to the player using the supplied arcsoft media converter?i have followed the instructions but when i try to open files to...

The Arcsoft Media Converter only recognizes a limited set of file types. I would download a program called Riva FLV Encoder, and convert the files that the Arcsoft does not recognize to AVI format (the product documentation for Riva says that it converts files to FLV format, but it is quite capable of doing the opposite). Once the video files are converted to AVI format, the Arcsoft Media Converter will recognize them.

You need to Have Windows XP / SP2, Wndows Media Player 10 or higher in order for the device to be recognized. If you have these components, try changing the mode on the device to MSC Mode. Settings>Mode>MSC. Best of Luck.
