There is a device that we use to test the drive externally, it plugs into the usb port.
they don't cost that much ( a lot less than a new drive) that is how we confirm it is the drive and not the system board.. ( there are usualy no cables for the Drive inside laptops

My Laptop is Dell Latitude D600 (A16) Everytime I tried to power up, Splash screen appears with blue bar and when going into next screen this message appears " No bootable devices--strike F1 to retry...

Check your BIOS, by pressing F2 and see if the hard drive is recognized. It should indicate the MFR next to the hard drive listing. If it's not there, then you might have a bad hard drive. If it is there, try re-installing the operating system with the set-up disk. You can also go to the Dell website, enter you service tag number, and get technical support for your particular laptop. It might have a recovery partition in the hard drive to recover to factory settings.

The keypad is locked and cannot use neither the mouse or any keys on Dell Latitute D 600 PC Notebook

See if there is a key stuck down first. If there is pry up gently to unstick it. If not your keyboard has failed and will need replacement. It is very easy to replace and cheap on Ebay for a new one. Let me know how you make out and I will take you through the steps to replace if needed. Takes all of 15 min to do.

Changing hard drive on D600 pin configuration is different. It's supposed to be compatible, but it doesn't work

The D600 has a IDE hard drive that has two rows of pins. The only other drive for a laptop is a SATA which does not have any pins sticking out but has 2 sockets. The D600 has an adapter that goes over the pins before you install in the caddy. I do not know what you are looking at so please give me the model numbers of the two drives and I will solve the issue for you.

D600 looks like this:

Adapter looks like this:

Here are the 2 types:

I bought a bear hard drive but loptop don't see it. I don't have a caddy or an adapter

Check your old HDD to see if there is an adapter that comes off the connection point that needs to be placed on the new drive. A lot of DELL laptops have this and it needs to be placed on the new drive or it will not be recognized.

Low disk space

sounds like the additional memory is not recognized, but the low disk space refers to your hard drive. Either delete some files and defrag or upgrade your hard drive.

The problem may be with your browser settings. Try the 'tools' menu on the right of your browser. The privacy or security may be set too high, or the 'browse history' settings, you may have to change things.
