You can usualy go with any USB based, one. USB based also has the advantage you can place it higher than the pc and get better reception. It also will depend on what router your using b, g, n ? I would suggest looking at your router box and or manual and see what signal type it does and that will guide you to what wireless to go with, but stick with usb, and if you need it for another machine you just move it install drivers and go on that one as well.

I would go with d-link. Windows will grab all over it and usually install it w/o no disc.

What do I need to activate wireless on insignia D400a through broadband?

To use Wifi on a D400 series PC, you would need to purchase a wifi PCI card (Do not get any PCIe or PCI2 or newer card specs) or wifi USB adapter.

Since standard PCI is consider mostly obsolete, they can be found fairly cheak, usually under $10 usd on places like Amazon.

I just wanna know if theres a way i can make my computer gateway gt5408 wireless or does it come with a wifi card in it

Hello,
This Desktop does not have a wireless adapter installed. You can buy a wireless N PCI card and put it inside the case in an empty PCI slot, or (easier) just buy a USB wireless N adapter and plug it into a free USB port. PCI or USB wireless cards typically go for about $60 (Canada /USA) This will allow you to connect to wireless networks.

Where is the dv terminal on a insigia model d400 pc

The spec sheet for this computer is located at >>

http://insigniaproducts.com/products/computers/D400.html

Assuming that by "dv terminal" you are refering to a digital video output jack, your computer ( according to spec. ) was manufactured with analog video support only. The good news is that it will support a digital pci video card. Be careful though, video cards can be expensive, depending on capability.

Upgrade to usb 2.0

Unfortunately getting usb 2.0 is not a driver problem, it is the hardware in your computer. Windows has all the nessary USB Drivers to support your card wether it be 1.0 or 2.0, but your laptops hardware is ver 1.0.

If you need a 2.0 usb port you cna buy a pcmcia usb 2.0 card and plug it into the side of your computer, but thats the best you can do.

How do you get wireless internet on the 366 MHZ

your processor doesnt really have anything to do with the ability to get wireless internet. You can buy a wireless card and install it into your tower. You can buy one at any computer store or even walmart. This is assuming that you have a desktop pc and not a laptop. If you have a laptop you can buy a wireless card for it also. The easiest route would be to buy a usb wireless card, as long as you have a usb port available. Here is a link to a usb adapter:

How do i set up wireless internet on my hp pavillion a330n desktop? Do i need a wireless card or is it built in? and where do i put the wireless card if i need one?

Hello,

Yes you need a wireless adapter.

Solution one : Get PCI wireless adapter which you will insert in an empty PCI slot inside your computer.

Solution 2. Buy a USB wireless adapter, which you plug in a USB port.
However, if my memory serves me right, that particular HP pavillion is 5 or 6 years old, and it does support USB 2.0, just USB 1.1

My advice to you is to buy a USB 2.0 PCI card to be installed in an empty PCI slot )or in the one occupied by the firewire )if not needed). This card will provide 4 or 5 USB 2.0 adapters. Then buy a USB wireless adapter, which you will be able to use with other computers.

Hope It helps.

You would need to purchase a wireless card. The card will come with the software you need or you can use Windows to configure.

Try the D-Link DWL-G510 or similar.

Broke the US2 port connector for my PilotBoard Laser Wireless Desktop Set

You could get a USB hub and plug the transmitter that way or if you have a regular size computer you can purchase a usb card to fit inside an available PCI slot on your computer.
