How to add bluetooth device

Go to control panel and selects devices and printers settings.
Click Add device and it should search for a Bluetooth device (make sure it is turned on). If it finds your device it will ask you to set up a pairing number, this varies between manufacturers so look it up in your Bluetooth manufacturers manual.

Bluetooth cant detect device

when transferring between any Bluetooth device the way it works is very similar. so what it most likely is, is that the laptop isn't paired with the phone, so scan with the laptop until you find your device then select it, you will then be prompted on the phone to accept the pairing.

once you have accepted the new Bluetooth device should pop up under devices and printers

  • Open your computer's Control Panel center to access your Bluetooth Device settings. Click on the Windows icon or the "Start" icon on your computer desktop's taskbar at the bottom of the screen. When the pop-up menu opens, click on the "Control Panel" link.
  • Step 2 Access your Bluetooth Device settings. When the Control Panel opens, click on the settings link that reads, "Bluetooth Devices." This link will display all of the possible actions and settings you can take regarding your laptop'smag-glass_10x10.gif Bluetooth technology.
  • Step 3 Configure your laptop's Bluetooth technology. Select the "Start the Bluetooth Device" action. The blue and white Bluetooth icon will appear in the Windows System tray within the computer desktop's taskbar.
  • Step 4 Network with another device in order to import and export files. Double-click on the blue and white Bluetooth icon on your computer desktop's taskbar. A Bluetooth dialog window will appear on your screen displaying your Bluetooth technology portal. Click on the "Add Devices" action. You will then be asked if your laptop would like to search for other compatible devices. Click "Next" to proceed. You will be prompted to choose a passkey for the pairing. Create a simple passkey and click on the "Pair" option. When the notification is received by the other device, enter the same passkey to pair the device to your laptop.

Open your bluetooth manager and click add a device. Press the connect button on your bluetooth device and it should show all bluetooth devices in range. Don't forget to replace the batteries of your device as well.
