Question about Rival 38601 Smart Pot 6-Quart
Regarding a CrockPot (brand name) purchased about a year ago at Bed, Bath and Beyond. The small plastic edges of hinged lid where screws were attached apparently weakend over time and broke off today one of the times I raised the lid to stir the soup. Two pieces of plastic fell into the soup, as did the the two screws. This is trouble waiting to happen. Any other complaints or lawsuits about this issue. Thanks for any information.
There is another pots on this topic where someone posted Jarden's phone number...you can probalby also get it on www.crockpot.com
I called on mine (same purchase place and time but they did not ask). they are sending me a new lid for free. mine broke months ago but i have just used it very carefully prying open the lid.
it does sound like there is a problem but at least they are providing a free replacemnet.
