My wii Guitar Hero controller seems to strum of its own accord in the middle of a song... is this a sensitivity issue, and if so any ideas on how to fix it?

You may need to dis-assemble the guitar to ensure that no damage has occoured to the strum bar internally as sometimes when this gets over used it has a habit to randomly strum on its own. Good Luck.

Guitar hero wii controller plays notes of its own accord

I had the exact same problem on the wii guitar before, and tried replacing it which did no good. Then I realized on the solo part the touch slider was what kept strumming itself, so I turned off the slider and it worked! To turn off the touch slider, you have to go into a song and go to options and turn it off, which will keep it turned off until you change it. I'm not sure why it does it, I guess dust gets on it or something.

Hopefully this helps and have fun! :D

Wireless guitar strummer on wii repeatedly breaks

Well the strumming by itself is due to the touch slider strumming by itself. Try going into any song and going into options and turning off the touch slider. This will keep the touch slider off until you change it back, so you don't have to do this every time.

Guitar not working properly

Check the D-pad on the guitar. Sometimes it can get stuck slightly and can count for accidental strumming. Also be sure to keep the button pressed firmly when playing chords. It is very sensitive to touch.

Our wii RockBand guitar won't strum

If you got the Rock Band 2 guitar then you'll have the same problem as with the Guitar Hero: World Tour controllers. There seems to be a large number of faulty controllers. It is best just to take the controller back to the shop you purchased the game from and get a replacement controller. If you are feeling brave, you can take the faceplate off the controller and open it up to have a look at the connections on the strum bar, but you will void the warranty if you do. You can use the D-pad in the mean time to strum.

Miss firing?

Yes, I had the same problem with my World Tour guitar.

Try disabling the touch sensitive pad via settings. If this resolves the problem then your guitar (more specifically the touch pad) is faulty. Take it back to the store you purchased it from and ask for a replacement.

How do you use the slide bar on the guitar for guitar hero world tour wii

Its a simple touchpad really, I recommend you use your strumming hand to use it, and only use it on the darker coloured notes, you can either tap or slide on it
takes a while to get used to, but it's pretty funky to use, and essential in some songs
