Hi there,

I run a new HP notebook that did not come with builtin bluetooth. In order to connect to the internet through my Nokia 6110, I bought a Toshiba bluetooth USB device.

My PC can connect to my cellphone through the bluetooth, but I can't connect to the internet. I've tried Nokia's website, and many people seem to have a similiar problem.

Other thing, I don't really know what a Bluetooth "stack" is. Is that the driver, software or the actual hardware (USB plug in device)?

Thanks for helping out.

To connect I use Nokia's PC Suite software. That comes out with the (supposedly) correct drivers, ISP dial up no's etc. The PC Suite connects to the phone (I can send and receive sms's etc), but when I try to connect to the internet, it says "No phone connected".

Not sure if a bluetooth driver is missing. From reading blogs on Nokia it seems there is a problem between the bluetooth stack (what on earth is that?) and Windows Vista.

Any idea?

- Hi there,

When I go to modems in the control panel, I can see a list of 4 modems. The correct one is also there (Nokia 6110 Bluetooth Modem), but there are no tick boxes. The only other info is the "Attached To" collumn, and that collumn next to the correct mode it says "COM6".

- hey, i have a problem that i have installed a bluetooth modem proberly.But nokia pc suite is not detecting the dun modem wheras in control panel phone and modem option is showing the bluetooth fax modem and dun modem.plese resove this immediately.thanks

hi, i seems u have installed the B T correctly, now to connect to the internet u need to creat a DUN (Dial Up Networking) there you can provide the ISP dial up No. Username etc...if u can see a Bluetooth icon on the right bottom corner, right click on it, u will have a option for DUN there,once there u will figure it out..let me know..

- ok... check in the device manager if u can see the installed modem of the nokia phone, or in cntrl panl, click on modem if u can see the nokia modem, if u see two modems , then check the box of the appopriate modem..let me know

- hi, there it goes, do u really have four modems in your system???if not then uninstall all the modems, when u rescan for modem it should only detect the nokia, then u will notice that the com port assigned has also changed , i am sure this should be fine.. let me know
