Question about GPX ML648B MP3 Player
The pamplet which can be seen here http://s366.photobucket.com/albums/oo105/aStrangerInParadise/GXP%20MP3/ has a couple solutions.
I recomend holding down the reset button located on the back of the MP3 player, restarting your computer, and then plugging the device back in.
You can also go to www.windowsupdate.com to see if theres a Serive Pack that could help.
Try a different USB port.
Scan for hardware changes by right clicking on My Computer. choose Properties from the menu that appears. Then Click on Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager. Within Device Manager, there should be a listing for Portable Devices. If there isn't a listing for Portable Devices or the listing it shows is highlighted with a question mark, right-click on Universal Serial Bus Controllers and select Scan for hardware changes.
If you have a laptop, disengage the laptop's battery. Let the computer sit for thrity minutes to an hour before reconnection the power. The voltage level that you USB prots receive can sometimes be less than the threshold voltage required to activate and communicate with your Mp3 player. This process should return the power levels back to their original default setting.
