How do I actually delete the numbers in my DNS server

Could be your router, could be your laptop. If other devices can connect to your wifi, then it is your laptop, if not, then it is your router. If it is your router, check all physical connections and power of course, make sure it is plugged in. If it is your device, and all other devices cannot connect to the wifi at your place either, but can connect at other places with wifi, it is either your router, or your ISP. If it is your laptop, then you can perform a system restore, which may correct the problem. If that doesn't work, look up the support/drivers section for your particular model from the manufacturers website, down the drivers for your laptop Wifi card, and reinstall the drivers. The support section at the website will also show you how to perform a system restore.

Make sure your wifi switch is turned on. If that doesn't work, try taking out the battery of your laptop, waiting at least 10 seconds, and then rebooting. If THAT doesn't work, try system restore and take it back until before your wifi quit working.

The tech specs on Acer's web site state that the 3610 did ship with wireless.

If your wireless is no longer working try installing the driver.

Initially, which is the Netgear, the WiFI / AP router or the wireless networking card of the laptop?

Offhand, that there are at least two (2) networks that could be detected by the laptop indicates that the WiFi is both receiving and transmitting (it works and therefore the issue is settings & configurations). Which of the networks is yours; the secured or unsecured?

Alternately, determine the SSID of your WiFi network and the PASSKEY used or the security system used (if one is used in your system/network). Additionally, are you using the Netgear Smart Wizard Wireless Assistant or the Windows built-in Wireless Network Connection?

For the secured system, use the PASSKEY determined as per above; for the unsecured, it may be employing MAC filter, try manually inputting the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Default Gateway.

Initially, pls determine the IP address of the Windows laptop. Pls include Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS. Power off the Windows laptop. Thereafter, set the MAC to static IP address and copy the numbers from the Windows laptop to the Mac. Soon as the Mac is working, power on the Windows laptop. If ther wil be an instance that Windows displays that the IP/Network address is already in use. power down the Windows laptop. Modify the Mac by increasing the last digit of the static IP addres by at least 1. Try again.

This is of course assuming that the WiFi of the Mac is working and there are no security WEP/WPA being used on the WiFi router.
