Bissel carpet cleaner no sucking

Hello, this is Ava with Think Crucial.

Most of the time the reason why vacuum is not picking up is due to loss of suction. You may need to check for blockages of your wand and hose. Remove the wand and hose from your cleaner when checking for blockages and any damages. Make sure to turn off and unplug your vacuum from the power before doing this. You may have to refer to your User's Manual for the instructions and guide.

Wont pick up anythimg

Check your pick up tube. Use a straitened wire hangar to push up tube and check blockage. You also may need to change the bag. Some bags sides will clog with fine dust and reduce the suction.

My Bissell bagless vacuum does not seem to work anymore. It will start to with a suction and then instead of picking up the dirt, it appears to blow the dirt out almost in a cloud of dust and debris from...

this is caused by a dirty air filter and/or a blocked vacume hose ( most of the time the blockage is at the bend where the hose enters the floor sweeper area ) ---
remove and tap out and brush the filter ( or use a air compressor to blow out filter ).
then with the vacume on its side - remove the bottom plate ( like you were going to change the belt ) and use a coat hanger and clean out the hose between the floor sweeper and where the suction hoes attaches. this will restore your vacume to full operation.

Loss of suction bissell vacume

that is normal for the vacume to shut off if the motor overheats you must keep teh dirt cup clean and empty and all the filters clean, when you empty the dirt cup if you have a lot of pet hair take the hose off and make sure that it is clean as well, and do not try to pick up any of those cleaning wipes that will stop it up real quick
