Re: netgear wgr614v6 factory settings

If this is on the router itself, cycle the power first. If still no good, then clear the router's configuration to factory defaults. This will set the routers ip address to You should have the manual and this will be on page 7-7 if not check out the link below

How to reset my router

You can reset your Netgear router/wireless WNR1000 router to the factory settings from within the router manager. The reset procedure removes all user-configured settings and returns the router to the original factory settings.

For this reason, only reset the router if you encounter problems that can't be solved with other methods.

Step 1: Check that your Netgear router/wireless WNR1000 router is properly connected with your system or not. If it is OK, then press reset button on Netgear router for at least 10 seconds. The 'test' light should flash during this process.

Step 2: Now open browser and enter Netgear's IP address into the address bar. Generally, '' is the Netgear router IP address but you can find specific IP address in Netgear router manual.

Step 3: Now enter your default username and password to log in to router.

Step 4: Click 'Erase' button under the 'Revert to Factory Default Settings'. This process will erase all your previous changes that have been made to the router and restore the configuration settings to factory setting. Don't interrupt the process until the process is finished.

Once the router's 'test' light has stopped blinking and the configuration page you are on has refreshed, the router has been reset.

How to reset rangemax wireless-n 150 router?

Reset means that you will restore it to factory defaults which will delete all of the configuration settings of the router and will leave you not connecting to internet and wireless as well, but if you really want to reset it, just simply press the black button at the bottom of the N-150 router, press and hold it for at least 15 seconds. Once the lights on the router starts blinking, that means that it is successfully restored to factory defaults.

I am installing a new wireless Lexmark printer and need to enter the security key for my Netgear wireless router WGR614v6. I do not have the manual and need to find this WPA key

You have to get in the web interface of the router to find the key. If you dont remember , the only other suggestion is to reset the router. This would bring it back to factory defaults . Once this is done, you have to set it up from start again .

Unable to factory reset - all port lights stay on with just power cable plugged in

All port lights showing on a router indicate a bad control board in the router. I'd say it's toast.

Netgear WGR614 v6 router drops connection

Hi, what ISP are you using (aol,tiscali...?), and how are you connecting to the router? Wired or wireless? I had similar problems with mine, it wouldn't connect or would drop connection, or loose all the settings. I updated the firmware to the latest from here:-

Be sure this is the correct model as firmware differes from model to model.
Then I had to manually configure my ISP settings etc. Or you may have software from your ISP which configures for you.
Hope this helps.
