Take it back!!! Take your fuel can with you!!! They may confiscate it!!! If authorized repair facility and they can't/won't fix it report them to Husqvarna!!! Was the shop a chainsaw seller/mechanic or a 4 cycle small engine shop? I use Stihl mechanics for all my saws... Never have a problem! Did you replace the fuel mix you had at home? How old is it?

SOURCE: husqvarna 400 e series- I mixed the fuel 40-1 instead of 50-1

Hi
If you have good compression and spark at the spark plug try priming the engine(put some fuel mixture in the spark plug hole),set the carb adjustment(highh speed H=3/4 turn and lowspeed L=1 1/4 turn, turn the scews clockwise until the end and then set them.Try to start the engine. If it runs only the gas you puted inside the cilinder and then stops you have a fuel delivery problem to find and fix.First disassembly ,check and clean the carb. Then the fuel filter and the hoses.Let me know. best regards savumihai71

SOURCE: husqvarna 235e will not stay running

Take the saw back for warranty service. We have a Husky #435 that had starting problems when new last year--warranty service replaced the ignition module the first trip, then a little later, they replaced the carburetor--it has worked very well since. I suspect that Husqvarna has had problems with our ethanol blended fuels. Hope this helps!

SOURCE: 3 month old Husqvarna 235.

These machines have had issues with main bearing cages breaking up, this it turn scores the piston and snags the ring in, if there is a good spark and the plug is getting wet i woud whip the muffler off and take a look at the piston through the exhaust port.

Testimonial: "Took to dealer. in five minutes they showed me the piston through the exhaust port. PISTON SCORED. Blamed thing hasn't been used 20/30 hours. Thanks."

The carburettor is getting too hot and fuel is being blocked from feeding into the engine. Make sure that the carburettor is clean and has adequate cooling while the engine is running. If you still have problems withs starting, blow the carburettor cool or use a damp cloth to cool it if starting is a problem.

SOURCE: Husqvarna Model 51 won't start.

If you have a good spark, and there is fuel at the plug, the only things to stop it fireing up are a sheared flywheel key knocking the timeing out, or the engine has low compression due to wear or damaged piston and ring.

Husqvarna 223L won't start

I would first take the spark plug out and see if the tip is wet, it could very well be flooded.

second of all I'd try putting fuel directly into the carb (if this helps you'll most likely need a carb kit or maybe even a new carb)

Husqvarna weed eater starts , but blows alot of smoke & then stalls out

Rod, Carb. may need adjusted, try loosening gas cap and start to see if cap vent plugged, there is a in tank fuel filter that you could fish out and remove to see if it is plugged. If still not running remove muffler and clean spark arrester screen, if screen plugged the trimmer will do this.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

It should have a port for a diagnostic scanner under the dash on the driver side. Use a spare spark plug, plug it in a spark plug wire, and let it sit on bare metal of the car. have someone else try to start it and see if it gets any spark. If you get spark, then you have a fuel problem. As for what type of shop, i would say any one that won't rip you off. Try to find the problem first, even if you don't fix it yourself. Last time i went to a shop, they told my motor was shot, i took the truck home, diagnosed it myself, and had it fixed in 5 min and 2 $50 injectors; had 2 injectors replaced at a shop before, cost $600.

I have a Hasqvarna 150BT blower that started to make a knocking noise at full power and has lost some power. Seems to start ok. Loss of power / rpm and knock are only ploblem?

I had the same issue with a Husqvarna 150 BT blower. Brand new ran through 2 tanks of gas and need to buy more gas , mixed 50 to 1 ratio 87 octane on new gas which was the same as what i was running and it started pinging and running like **** then stalled and would not start. took the plug out and it was fouled. cleaned the plug got it running again but still not good. This model comes with a NGK CMS7H plug which i replaced with a champion RZ7C and new gas 93 octane and lawnboy oil mixed 50 to 1 ration and now its running like a champ. I've had bad experiences with NGK spark plugs in the past and thought this may resolve the issue and it did. Hope this is helpful to anyone out there having the same issues. Also used some fuel stabilizer in the fuel mix, I hear this helps with the ethanol problem in the fall/winter gas.

Most all of these saws use a 50 to 1 ratio. However, i like to use a two cycle oil that has a TCW3 rating to it. This helps to fight again moisture and condensation when the saw isn't being used.
