BellSouth AT&T Motorola Modem Red Light/s, No Internet

Modem, Router and PC

1. Press and hold the reset button on the back of your modem for 10 seconds to fully reset your modem to initial factory defaults.

2. Wait for the modem's Power and DSL LEDs to turn solid green.

3. Open your computer's Internet browser and your modem should launch a mini-setup routine. Enter your FastAccess DSL username in the format of [email protected], enter your FastAccess DSL password and confirm your FastAccess DSL password and click next, then there will be an "Auto Calender Update Configuration" page where you will set the auto update info and timezone info so just enter the info and click next.

4. Your browser will refresh the page and say everything is ready to go, this may take a few moments. When this is complete type 192.168.1.254 into your browser's address bar and click on the "Broadband DSL Line" tab, then on the right, click on Connection configuration.

5. Change the Protocol from the dropdown box to Bridged Ethernet Mode, and then click on Save and Restart Connection.

6. Open your computer's Internet browser again and type in 192.168.1.1 into your browser’s address bar. In the Internet Setup, change the Internet Connection Type to PPPoE and enter your FastAccess DSL username in the format of [email protected], enter your FastAccess DSL password and click on Save Settings.

7. Close all windows and restart your computer. Your internet should now be working.

Windows failed to start. a recent hardware or software change might be the cause.

Uninstall Internet explorer 8 and any .net upgrade which is rescent. Try it now and use internet explorer 7 if it is working ok with downgradeor better goto firefox and download firefox.
Other possibility is RAM has failed, if there are two sticks try booting with one stick in theA slot and other removed, alternate the ram sticks to test. If only one ram stick try a similar ram type pc or laptop for ram test, a friend?

Hello,

You can try to
1.Uninstall the Dell tool bar (Add remove program)
2.Right Click on the Dell tool bar and see if you deactivate it.
3.Change default search engine.
4. Use a pop up blocker.
5. Start liking it (just a joke.)

I have exactly the same problem

Try zooming out by double-tapping somewhere on the screen (Try it a few times), then go to the top of the page by scrolling up with your finger. Eventually you should see the address bar and be able to type in a new address.
