The Pro 110 comes in 2 different technologies. The true model (examples: R110, RHD110T, etc) designates which technology your heater has. Rather than ask for clarification I am posting links to Troubleshooting Tips for BOTH types. You must investigate to see if your heater is the Spark Plug technology or the HSI (glowbar) technology.

Troubleshooting greatly differs between the 2 types.

I hava an All Pro 65,000 BTU heater. It was working fine a week ago. The igniter glows, fuel mists but doesn't light off then shuts down. Ideas?

I am sure you have confirmed that the fuel is fresh and good, no water in it, etc.--
It is kerosene, not #2 Diesel fuel, right?

And the shutting down is good, if the flame does NOT ignite--- :-)
So we have to figure out why the fuel is not getting hot enough to ignite?

Question-- is the oil spray passing close enough to the ignitor?
And this unit does NOT use SPARK to ignite?, correct? --
for most of these heaters have spark ignition.. I am learning all the time, too!

How about checking the fuel pressure. and the air -- is it correct?
Check with your manual how to check and adjust.

After testing these tings, let us know what you learned

My pro 100 does not light. Igniter heats up and

The photo eye shuts the unit down if the burner does not burn correctly on startup, ie.if the eye does not see light prior to tiiming out. I would say since it is shutting down, it is working OK. While you say there is plenty of fuel, you do not know if there is the correct ratio of air to fuel. The most common problem on these heaters is the mix. I have a tip at http://www.fixya.com/support/r4124129-yearly_maintenance_reddy_heaters which explains exactly what you need to do to correct this and where to get the parts to do it. Let me know if you need anymore help.

Reddi heater 155 owners manual?

If this has a hot surface igniter, can you see it glowing? If not the igniter could be bad or the control
board for the igniter is baed.

If you are able, remover the igniter and hook it up to a 110 outlet, if it glows the problem is in the board.

If it has a board, follow the incoming power to line 1
and line 2. You will either have to splice the two leads
from the igniter into L1 and L2 or get a special spade
connector that can hold two leads on each terminal.

Plug unit in, glow coil should glow and unit should run
thats assuming you have that style of unit. Do not
attempt to do this unless you can safely perform this.

If you know of an electrician he can do this.

Unit will run around 10 mins then it quits burning. blows unburnt fuel then will shut down automaticaly. lost my manual and looking for a sourch to order parts for unit. i think my igniter is bad ? not...

mayby you have dirt and garbage in the fuel tank.it will pick up the garbage and it willn't get the proper amount of fuel to burn.spray pattern must be correct to keep burning correctly.does this unit have a glow bar or does it have a spark plug???? a place to get parts and break downs is

Pro 110, runs 10 min., blows white smoke ,shuts off

the first thing you need to do is go back to useing K1 kerosene, diesel fuel not only burns dirty but also has a tendency to gel up in cold weather which could be makeing it hard for the heater to draw the proper amount of fuel. To reset the pressure you will need a gage, it should run at about 6-7 psi. you can order a pressure gage from mr. heater online, they are by far the cheapest I have found as they are the actual manufacturer or call 1-800-251-0001

Reddy Heater will not ignite flame

Please answer the following questions. There are several folks on the board that can help but we need to know some vital information so we can get started. Answer these, if you can:
  1. Which Pro 110 do you have. We need the exact model number. Pro 110 is a series of heaters.
  2. Does the heater have a spark plug or a glowbar (HSI)?
  3. When the motor runs is it pumping fuel?
  4. When the motor runs is the spark plug firing (or glowbar glowing)?

Does your heater use the older spark plug technology or the newer Hot Surface Ignitor (HSI) technology?

Without this critical information about all this technician can do is guess.

My best guess at this time would be either water in the fuel or a restricted fuel filter.

Sounds like your pressure screw on the back could need adjusting or look at your manual under troubleshooting it will give you the correct answer to your problem.
