How do I load staples? I can not find my manual!

Here is the manual. It is also called a Cobra

To load nails,turn gun upside
down and tilt the gun so the side
with the nail icon "T" and staple
remaining window is facing down
(Fig. 3). Load by leaning rack of
nails tight against inside of staple
chamber in housing (Fig. 3). Be
sure to insert nails with point of
nail facing upwards. The gun may
jam if nails are inserted in the
wrong side of housing.

You must click on the Format PDF link to open the next page then choose save or open the document.

Everythng points to loading the staples via the slot vs on the slide bar.

Look on page 3 for the three steps to load it.
1. Press latch in lower rear of gun to remove pusher rod from machine.
2. Insert strip of staples.
3. Replace pusher rod.

there should be a spring loaded clip at the end of the stapler opposite from where the staples come out push it in to release

pull the finisher out

you will see the staple in the end of it

pull up the staple cartridge using the green handle

then insert the new one

Does your copier have the finisher or saddle to have staples? There should be instructions in the user manuals for replacing staples. If you don't have the user manuals, I'd ask Canon to purchase replacement copies or look on the web.
