The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

My daughter has lost her windows login password(vista}

There is software for sale that will remove the password. A bit expensive! Maybe a cheaper option to install a fresh copy of Vista from the recovery partition and restore your backups to the new system as all data will be lost. If you have no backups, purchase a new external hdd, install it in the laptop, put Vista on it and put the old drive in the caddy. You can then copy your data over to the new hdd, or purchase the software to unlock the windows password.

Toshiba often puts the recovery data on the D drive (may be hidden) on your laptop. If so, you should be able to reload. It will do a format and you will lose everything. Hope you have a good backup - like Carbonite!

When you backup your software, you need to backup the installation files, not the software once it is installed as the installation procedure places various files within the Windows system folders. Simply restoring the backed up files will not re-install that software. You should back up your data files etc but the software on your old drive will need to be re-installed from scratch.

Computer Crash

If your OS is Windows XP or Vista, you can try using the System Restore. Back up to a date prior to your having trouble.

If that doesn't work, then be sure to back-up all of your data and then try a repair/restore.

To do this start your PC with the OS disk installed in the CD drive. Start the OS instaqllation. Ignore the first repair opportunity that you have, but do use the second one taht comes up. That will perform a reinstallation of your OS without overwriting your personal data and settings. BACK-UP YOUR DATA B4 YOU TRY ANTHING!!!!

It's a standard SD card that you can buy from electronics or camera stores. Probably 1Gb is about the right size.

PC Backup doesn't work with Windows Vista

You must check the package to ensure that the program is windows vista compatable. Please do note that Vista does have its own back software embedded. Simply type into the start search bar on the start menu backup and recovery.

Installation on windows vista program

Who makes the ez305 web cam. Look @ the website of the producer if they have a driver your in. But if they don't and vista won't install a generic driver it won't work. Vista will make a lot of hardware obsolete just like xp for hardware that works with windows 98.

It may not work at all on Vista, many programs and hardware do not. (scanners and printers etc. -- no new drivers)
Is there any way to update the program?
Go to the company website, check for Vista compatibility.
You may have to purchase an updated program.
