I tried to hold the power button in for thirty seconds with the tv plugged in and unplugged, do I have to replace every single capacitor on the power board. None of them are bubbled up on top, I don't know if this makes a difference or not. I disconnected all three of the flyback wires. two of them were clean and one of them was completely covered in black soot, could that possible be the issue? does anyone have any idea where i could buy parts for this?

Disconnect all the cables from the TV then connect the power cord from the TV to different functional wall outlet to check if the TV is powering ON. If the TV is not showing any sign of power then press and hold the power button on the TV for 30 seconds to discharge all the capacitors that may be causing the issue.

If the TV is not powering ON even after performing all the above steps then the capacitors on the power board are burnt out and requires to be replaced.

Mitsubishi vs-70601 picture pincushioned and out of convergence

could just be a convergence issue. there should be an auto-convergence feature in the menu. outside of that, you'll have to manually converge the colors seperately (also a feature in the menu).

Have a Mitsubishi vs 70601 shut off by itself one day and wont po

i would think it is going to be the main fuse, open the back of the tv, you will see where the power cord is connected to the board, there will be a glass fuse next to it, you will be able to see if it is bad,----make sure you unplug the tv befor you mess with it

This model is equipped with a self-diagnosis feature to help with diagnosis of shutdown problems, to activate this turn the unit on let it shutdown then press the input and menu buttons on the front panel simultaneously and hold them in for 5 seconds after 5 seconds the power LED on the front panel will blink a two digit sequence. This will be one set of blinks a short pause then another set of blinks, this will repeat 5 times. 1 - 2 = no error detected 2 - 1 = X-ray protect (high voltage or beam current) 2 - 2 = Short protect (short protect monitors low voltage supplies) 2 - 3 = Deflection protect (this could be loss of vertical or horizontal deflection) 2 - 4 = Vertical protect (usually loss of vertical from the source

It just click ON and OFF, right? If you hear the hight voltage noise tring start, may be the Tv has bad vartical IC or regulator IC. If you have no experience with electronic you will need a technician to halp you.
