2001 Ultra Classic Battery went bad had to jump it quit charging. have a new battery now only shows 10-12 volts on the meter tried a different regulator with same results. tried to check stater with...

usually it is either the regulator or stator that dies
firstly check stator...(alternator)...set multi mtr at 500ac volts
connect probes (red/blk) to both wires from stator..output voltage should read between 100 acv mid revs to 150 acv mid revs
output to battery should be 13.5v -14.75v dc...if not then regulator is RS ...I used to fit Honda regulators 30amp type with 2 red and 2 green wires ..because it is a 3 phase regulator just disconnect one yellow wire
harley regulators are of poor quality...they have no on off switch like the japanese ones other words when you turn off your ignition the harley regulator is still on
hope this helps

Camera not powering up after battery installed. After inserting existing or new battery, camera indicates "This battery cannot be used" and will not power up.

The charger can tell the voltage is high enough, but still not sure the camera will work. Did you check ale contacts also the ones in the camera, are clean and shiny? Only a little spec of dust, can give you lots of trouble. To be sure the batteries are both ok, use a multimeter and check the voltage. On the multi meter the voltage should be just a few tenths of a volt higher than what is printed on the battery. I think your battery must be 3,7 Volt, so at least 3,8 volt should be measured, because the multimeter does not take any current from the battery. My 3,7 Volt Kodak batteries, still give 4,03 and 4,07 volt, three months after they are charged. Those are Li-ion batteries.
As soon as they give less then the printed value just after charging, you know they are not ok anymore.

Dm-60 Has been setting on the counter for a couple of years. Measuring dcv, on a 9v battery, readout is unstable and lower than it should be. Measuring acv, reading is about half what it should be. There...

If batteries are fresh (low batteries give false readings on the meter because the meter uses the batteries to benchmark what it is testing), then you might want to consider taking the meter back even if it has been a couple of years. If that is not possible for you then try calling Greenlee themselves and seeing if there is a warranty on the meter-some meters have 7 year warranties.
Hope this helps, James
