Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Trying to replace the drain hose which goes from washer to wall but hose will not release from inside the back of washer. I removed the small bolt to plastic piece which goes around neck of drain hose, but this only allows the hose to move about two inches out from the washer.

The hose end should be attached to the outlet side of the pump. You need to be able to access the lower inside of the washer to get at the pump, which may be either from the front or back depending on the make and model of the washer. On front loader washers, look for floor level screws that release a lower front panel.

Asko T702c stops after a minute and all lights flash on start button

the drain hose goes where? I have never heard of a dryer that has a hose for water but I will tell you that a 220 volt dryer would automatically trip the breaker and shut down to save u from electrocution, so with that if this is the first time using I will say that the water has to go somewhere obviously in a drain? A appliance like this will have to have the drain hose higher than the back of the dryer in order to disperse the water into the drain, or it will airlock and shut down, like a washer the hose going to the drain in the wall, has to be higher than the unit a slight bit, try it with a washer, hold the drain line in your hand while it drains then lower it will stop see

Not knowing what make and model makes it a bit more difficult, but I would suggest that the pump or the drain outlet is blocked or the pump itself has jammed up. Lean the machine back against the laundry wall and have a look underneath for the hose which goes from the tub to the pump, undo any clips that hold the hose on. Remove the hose and check for foreign objects etc. The pump is usually held in by a couple of screws / bolts. Undo the pump and check inside for foreign objects or something jamming inside, Make sure the machine is unplugged and be carefull, if its full of water, expect a mess when you pull the hose off...

Front loader, frigidare, not draining properly.

your washer has a drain catch, a small plastic cylinder with holes in it, that catches things left in you clothes. It may be restricted. You may have to clean your drain catch. It is located inside the hose that comes off the bottom of your outer tub, at the bottom, and goes to the drain pump. The easiest way to do this is to pull unit out enough to where you can tilt it back to rest against the wall. At the bottom of the washer there will be an oval shaped hole. You can access the hose with the drain catch inside of it. Remove the clamp at the tub with a phillips screwdriver or a 9/32 or 7mm socket. Before you do this you may want to remove any water still inside tube with a shop vac attatched to the washer drain line. If not alot of water will come out on the floor, or just get some towels, it will be messy. Once you have removed the clamp, remove hose enough to where you can pull out plastic cylinder inside hose. Make sure when you reinstall hose, that the hose is pushed up all the way against the tub, all the way around, or it will leak. Good luck!

Error code "LD" displays, what do I do next?

an LD code indicates a long drain was detected by the control.check for a kink in the drain hose. the most common reason for this code is something caught in the pump. many times a piece of clothing(small sock, shoe lace or string from a sweatshirt etc..) gets stuck and restricts the water flow to the drain...the pump can be removed by tipping the washer forward approx 45 degrees(use something to prop the washer up so it doesnt fall all the way to the floor)then remove the back panel. the pump will be gray &have 2 hoses. calypsos used 2 styles of pump . one was integrated into the pump motor and the other was attached to the pump motor with 2 springclips.remove the clamps on the hoses and see if you can see whats caught inside..if the foreign object is wrapped up in the pump too tightly you will have to replace the pump..if you have to replace the pump and it comes as part of a new motor.,the front panel will have to come off to unplug the pump motor and plug in the new one. there is a space at the top of the front panel where it meets the lid, use a putty knife to release 2 clips so you can lift the lid up. you will see several screws along the top.remove them and the front panel will come off . you wil be able to see where the pumpmotor plugs in. . you will have to work in front and behind the washer. always unplug the washer before doing any work on your appliance. hope this helps get you back up and running...

Remove the front lower panel, screws underneath. Be prepared for water, drain out from drain hose. Check filter for clogging, clean out. Sometimes when the load is unbalanced & the machine cannot adjust the load it stops. To avoid this make sure your wash is mixed with big and small clothes.
If this does not work remove the rear panel & check belt, should have half inch ‘give’. Still not good, remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes (at terminal end of motor), if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.

Leaking washing machine

Jan, if your pump needs to be replaced, I haven't seen a step by step instruction on it so far, so I hope this will do. First Unplug the machine and remove the remaining water from inside of it.(even after the spin cycle, water remains inside the bottom of the tub, the pump and the drain hose) The easiest way to do this is using a wet /dry vac, attaching it to the end of the drain hose that goes into the wall and sucking the remaining water out. Next pull the unit forward and tilt the top of it back about 45 degrees. (when you have it tipped back far enough, the top will rest against the wall behind the machine instead of tipping forward) Remove the belt from the pulleys underneath the machine. Remove the 3 bolts holding the pump to the base of the machine. Use a pair or pliers or channel locks to remove the clamps on the hoses attached to the pump. Install the replacment pump you've purchased from a local appliance parts sttore or bought from the manufactures web site on line by reversing the process. Run a quick fill/ spinto make sure you have no leaks.

Wirlpool washer

top load or front load??? if top load, does it appear to be trying to drain??? or does it just die before going to rinse cycle??? if so sounds like you have a bad lid switch try lifting and closing the lid and just before it closes do you hear a "clicking noise"..You should and if you dont you have a bad lid switch......... if its a front loader i would assume htat when trying to drain out you just hear faint humming noise and no action, if thats the case sounds like something is stuck inside the pump assy. you would need to remove the lower access panel and remove the pump cover to empty the "button trap" of debris.

Ld code flashing

"Ld" is a "Long Drain" error. This is an indication that you have a clog somewhere in the drainage system. The Oasis is notorious for this problem and it is usually in the drain valve between the wash basket and outer tub. In order to access this area you will need to follow these steps. 1. Unplug washer. 2. Lift washer top by inserting a putty knife along the front seam where the top meets the front casing. There are two retaining clips that you need to push in on while lifting at the same time. Lean the top back and support it against the wall. 3. Remove the wash tub balance ring. This is a donut shaped ring on top of the wash tub. There is a release tab along each side of the tub. The ring should lift out. This is filled with fluid, so it is normal to hear liquid splashing around inside it. 4. Remove the wash plate by first removing the cone from the center to reveal the bolts underneath. Once you remove the bolts you will be able to see through the wash basket into the drain line area in the back of the wash tub. Things like lint and under wire bra hoops get caught in this area and will not allow the ball valves to function correctly. You can fish out anything in this area by using a coat hanger and a flashlight. Remember how the wash plate goes back on. There is a keyed slot and it only goes back on one way. Another possibility is the drain pump itself. You will need to remove the drain hoses and check them for clogs. Also look at the impeller of the pump. You can see the pump and into the drain valve system by removing the panel off the back of the washer and look at the square plastic assembly on the bottom of the wash tub. This is the drain valve. You cannot open it and, if it is clogged, you must clear it out by either removing the connection from the drain pump and/or the procedure I mentioned above. Good luck to and I hope this may help.
