Nextar has been bought by TomTom. Support for Nextar units has been discontinued on the web, though you may be able to call TomTom to purchase the update. Otherwise, you may be better off with a smartphone app or a used/refurbished unit.

Check the Nextar website. They did recenlty release a 2009 map update, but if your GPS is not listed as compatible, it's not going to work.
