Re: i have a question
In this scenario we can open port numbers on the router but for that we need the list of ports that has to be open and that we'll get from ps-3 support services Get the port numbers and follow these steps to enter them:- 1)Open the router gui with 192.168.1.1 or http://routerlogin.net by typing it in the address bar for the user name as admin and password as the word password only. 2)On the Netgear smart wizard .left hand side you will find a small blue/purple column with different categories , look for the one that says advanced and click on port forwarding/port triggering and select port forwarding from there and click on Add custom service from the bottom . 3)A new screen will appear which will have the following options:- Service name:-(any name) Service type:-tcp , udp , tcp/udp Starting port:- Ending Port:- Server Ip Address:-(enter the ip address of ps-3) and apply the setting's. The value for the starting and ending port will be same i.e if suppose we have a port no. 80 for the ip:-192.168.1.15 and tcp as the service to open then this is how it will be done:- Service name:-abc
Server Ip Address:-192.168.1.15
After forwarding all the port numbers go for the connection test on ps-3.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You may have a weak internet connection or the playstation network/ game servers may be down. Make sure you have updated your ps3 to rule out that possiblity. You may want to try going to settings>network settings> internet connection test. If you have a weak signal strength, you may want to try moving the modem closer/ point it closer to the ps3. My download speed shows 2.1Mbps and upload 647kbps which is fairly average and don't usually have a problem. I find that sometimes I cannot connect due to the time of day (too many users onlie at the same time in your area may slow down your internet speed), for this reason I always have more luck playing later at night or earlier in the morning which may or may not be an option for you. Hope this helps!
The error code indicates that the PS3 is unable to contact the Playstation Network Servers. This may be caused by the PSN (Playstation Network) being under excessive load (often a result of new, significant DLC being released) or a problem with your router or ISP (Internet Service Provider).
On your Playstation 3, go to the Settings menu, scroll down to the bottom and select Network Settings, then select Internet Connection Test. If you do not see success for Obtaining IP Address and Internet Connection, then there is a problem with the networking between your PS3 and the internet.
If you both of these connections prove successful, but you are still not able to sign in to the PSN, try:
Contact your ISP and see if they have some sort of outage in your area or are somehow hindering your connection to the Playstation Network.

You need to have a router connected to the internet. You need to purchase a Play Station 2 network disc, commonly available on Ebay or in second hand game shops. Unless you have a PS2 with network you will need to buy also a network adapter, also available on Ebay You need to plug a network cable from PS to router and to configure connection, then you can browse the Internet.
can you go to network settings in your ps3 then test internet connection. If it says UPNP unavailable then you need to enable it in your router or upgrade router firmware if router shows UPNP as enabled.
Go to settings on the main menu and select network settings.can automatically and follow the prompt on screen. If your network has a security make sure to enter the security key and save the settings afterwards. Once configured, you'll be able to connect online and play with other players, access playstation store and browse the internet. hope this helps. :)
