I have bought an Apple Mac notebook but am having problems accessing the internet. I think I have inadvertently changed the password to the wireless router as I have succesfully conected my main computer and an older laptop using the security code I was given on installation.I cannot remember what password I may have installed and the mac notebook keeps asking for the password. I have entered my security code but this doesn't work. Can you help?

This is a confusing report. If you are successfully connecting two other computers to the router using the original router password, why can't you connect your MacBook Pro to the router using the same password? Or is it that the other two computers "know" the original password but you don't?
If one of the other two computers is a Mac, use the Keychain Access utility to look up the stored password for the router.
If not, use one of the other two computers to access the router's configuration screens directly and obtain the password that way.

Apple OS X 10.3. How to connect to internet wirelessly. AirPort card says not loaded. I have a usb Netgearwireless adpterWG111v3

You need to go in to system prefrences and find the internet section and enable it, watch out for passwords as Apple use different default charactors to infill if your password is shorter than the required amount, get back if you need more help, Im a little rusty on 10.3!

Administrative password

Well really this is the best explanation on how to reset an administrative password on a used mac, so I am putting in the link: http://theappleblog.com/2008/06/22/reset-os-x-password-without-an-os-x-cd/ please forgive if this is not in my own words, but I could not have said it better. I hope this helps your ability to access the internet. If you find this helpful please give this posting positive feedback!

Problem with internet connection

By "USB wireless internet" I assume you are referring to a communication card from a cellular telephone carrier.
I also assume that despite the fact that you have singled out Safari, in reality you will find cannot access the internet at all through this device, e.g., sending and receiving mail through Apple Mail, using iChat, using Software Update, etc. I say this because when Safari refuses to access the internet through a particular device, it's very rare that the problem turns out to be peculiar only to Safari. (To answer your original question, no, no special settings are needed.)
Many of these cellular internet cards come with "install me first" software for the Mac that is written badly and doesn't work on the most current versions of the Mac OS. Your first step (assuming you have another working route to the internet) is to visit your provider's website and download the current version of his Mac connection software (which will almost always NOT be the version you got in your product box). Install and run it exactly according to the instructions (they are often so fragile that any variation at all will break them), and then try again.

Just bought the apple ibook g3 clamshell

If you can detect wireless connections in your area, then you have a wireless card in your Apple.
You cannot connect to the Internet unless you have a DSL or cable modem that connects to an Internet Service Provider.
You can connect to the Internet using a public access WiFi hot spot, these are located at McDonalds, Star Bucks and at the airport etc. and some Internet Cafe. There maybe some charges for these Internet connection.

Wireless router problems

I'm sorry that you have an ibook g3 but it's good that you are new to mac, there is still time to change.
However, neither of these are the cause of your problem.
You'll need to give your computer the correct password for the "router" that you are trying to access.

Macbook 13.3" won't log in to wireless

You need to check your network card software your problem may lay there. I've seen this problem many times in the passed. I will install a wireless network card or software on someones computer and two days later it will not connect everything looks fine. No matter what I do it will not connect. Remove net software for the card or on board wireless reinstall and boom it works fine.
routers may need reset or configured off the internet or the start up cd. I take this a wireless router hooked to internet gateway. don't know not enough information you may need to tell me a little more. first try install of net-card software then set you working router to unsecure no pass word need see if you connect then change it to you wpa password protected.
