Please help me unlock my cel. It won't let me do set up. I want to use wifi w/o ph svc. It is a cricket samsung galaxy amp 2 model # am-j120az us and the imei # is 35641**********. Thank you!

Google DFS CDMA, and download the free version, have your phone on and drivers installed so your PC shows , modem, port and adb interface in device manager, on the phone, you most likely have to set USB Debugging under developer options, if your settings does not have developer options you will first have to go to about phone, software version and tap kernel and you should see a message after about 8 taps that tells you how many taps left to be developer, if you do not get the message, then try the same on the firmware window, if you still fail to see the message then go back, under settings, go to security tab and you should see it there, also while you are there be sure unknown devices has a check mark in its box, if you have done the steps correctly device manager should show your phone model and make. To get the unlock code using DFS CDMA you connect your phone to the PC, let it install drivers, if they have not already been installed. Set DFS port speed 115200, ignore SPC, click on the port button and you should see the phone modem and port, put a check by them, simply click on the modem and the port, at the bottom of the software window you should see that your phone is online, navigate to memory tab, and you should see a drop down menu that shows options like Ram, SDRam, ect., scroll to the bottom option, CLETS I believe, then just start the search of memory, you should see a time amount left for it to finish, it will show a very long time , but you usually do not need to wait more than a couple hours, if you highlight SPC in the left column, and it has gotten the code, you should see a hex number appear in the right column, click to highlight the hex number and it should show your phones 6 digit SPC , if you need to network unlock the phone then click on each option and the codes it did find will appear as a hex in the right column, if you did not get any hex numbers, you must let it keep searching, pay attention to the bottom part of the software , the window will show how many kb's a second it interesting as well as time to complete, if your dots are red and not green then the phone is offline, green to Amber will still work, red will not....good luck

Code-Division Multiple Access (CDMA) smartphones are cellular phones that use CDMA digital wireless technology.
It is a setting on your phone which may have been set eroneously. No know which phone you have, I can only tell you in general, to go to the menu/setup of your phone. under networks you will see different choices. ie GSM, EVO . Select each one differently to see which one works. You can also call your Phone provider support for help with this.
Good luck,

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response.

Thanks, Joe

you can try downloading samsung phone service tools light and the dll file for the glyde .. if you can get the software to see the phone it should show you the lock code. Another software that can show that to you is cdma workshop v 2.7. good luck

Cdma service not available after phone fell in water

you can take the battery and the back off the device and place in completely submerged in a bag of white rice and leave it in there for 1 to 2 days this will help absorb the moisture, this should fix it if the water did not damage the circut boards if the water damaged the circut boards then the device is fried

My phone says searching for svc how do i get it?

Hi,

That just means you have no reception. Have a look at:
Menu -> settings -> Phone -> Network

Check that network selection is on automatic. If you still don't have any reception you might want to consider changing provider.

Best regards,

How to fix my NAM on my samsung sch 700 cell phone

OMG my phone is doing that too.... i believe that you can take it to your Cell phone service provider and have them unlock it for you. to do this you must go to a technician. the problem that happened was that i knocked my phone off the network so basically its usless at this point so i will need a new phone unless they find out the code so if they cant fix it your going to have to get a new phone
