If you have an original windows xp disc. put it in and wait till a blue install window pops up it will ask what do you want to do.. pick repair the current installation. this way you will not lose your information.... the reason you get this message at startup is there is a driver or file that is missing. and causes problems during the operation of your computer..if you dont have the xp disc backup as much of your info to dvd r/w discs. and use your system restore discs that came with your pc and totolly restore the operating system to a fresh install.. good luck..

You'll need to go into the registry by running regedit and go to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

See if theres a listing for:
Registry_Cleaner_ProMFCT = "%ProgramFiles%\registry_cleaner_pro\Registry_Cleaner_Pro.exe

If there is a key that reads something like that you will need to delete it. Registry cleaner pro is a piece of spyware that you will need to try to uninstall or use a spyware removal software to fully get rid of it. Removing the entry from the registry just stops that error from appearing every time you start up.

Modifying and/or changing entries in the registry can be dangerous so always double check what you are about to delete.

Sounds like you have downloaded some spyware or malware or you downloaded an unwanted program. if you cannot get rid of it, use system restore and that will remove it.

Cant get my hp PAVILION DV6000 built-in webcam to work.

try using a real HP driver yet?
downloaded from whom, most non HP sites are virus pits from H3LL.
know that first.
finding drivers for obsolete systems is super hard work.

Pavilion dv6000 (is that the full partnumber or the useless series number)? post the service tag for 10x better answers.
if at HP.com (where you should have gone first) they demand that first. that is because, there are 50 LT in that series.or more
and guess what they all dont use the same chips nor cameras.

carbon date,,,, 2006 ,2007?
just about 10 years old and support ends at 10 years old
XP is dead now for 3 years why run XP
XP must have SP3 loaded, service pack 3 or USB is no good and vast other things super bad.. (old old history that)

only this matters, see those xx below, all facts here matter.
1,2,3 , all do. to match drivers; to OS. just 1 example here of 1000

if you read the real service manual on any HP laptop made
you learn fast there are vast variances in chips used.
and matching drivers same,
some have 3 -4 wifi chips different. in one model.
like this DV6000-1234, see that 1234, vast models exist.
world wide in fact.

Tip

Fixing Corrupt Registry

If your registry has gotten corrupted, and re-installing Windows95 over your existing version does not fix the problem,
there is a hidden, read-only, system file on the root of your boot drive called SYSTEM.1ST.
This is the initial system registry created when you first installed Windows95.
To use this file:

Go to your Windows directory
Un-Attrib your current SYSTEM.DAT file (attrib -r -s -h system.dat)
Copy your current SYSTEM.DAT to something like SYSTEM.BAD file (just in case)
Move to your root directory
Un-Attrib the SYSTEM.1ST file
Copy SYSTEM.1ST to \WINDOWS\SYSTEM.DAT
Re-start your system
You will need to install your 32-bit apps and any other programs or changes that modified your system registry
but you will not need to go through a new again. Your 16-bit apps should not need to be re-installed since they do
not modify the registry. You will also retain your current desktop configuration.

Error message at start up. Running windows xp. HP Pavilion a700N PC desktop. The message is: This application has failed to start because hpzjrd01.dllwas not found. re-installing the applicationmay fix...

To fix hpzjrd01.dll errors occurring due to corrupt or incomplete installation of HP printer software, uninstall your printer driver and reinstall it again.

To ensure the HP printer software is completely uninstalled from your system, we recommend you either use the built-in Add or Remove Programs utility or use the help of a third-party uninstaller, such as Perfect Uninstaller.

My hp pavilion 513n has completely stopped working! I need help!

Start the computer, and keep pressing F8 until you get a "boot" menu -- white text on a black screen.
Select "safe mode with command-line", and see if Windows will start.
If it does, enter 'CHKDSK C: /F' to get Windows to check the integrity of the file-system.

Then, find a friend with a genuine Microsoft Windows XP CD-ROM. Boot from that disk, and choose "repair", and see if the boot-process can "repair" your installed copy.

How can I restore the speed of my HP Pavillion laptop with Windows XP?

By Formatting the drive, re-installing Windowws......bear in mind that ALL dat will be lost unless it is backed up.

Adding additional ram will speed it up

Another option is to clean all disused files that clog the cache. Go to start / My Computer / right click on "C" drive / Properties / click on "Disk cleanup" and tick ALL boxes.
When its finished agrre to delete, safe to do so.
Run antiviurs program (Unexpired one)
Run adware program such as Malwarebytes, do not have more than one adware program installed.

Have HP mini notebook. everytime im on the

Sounds like spyware / malware i would use an online scanner like Eset or a program like Malwarebytes.

also to stop the computer from restarting open the command prompt window (start menu, click run, type cmd, click ok...) type "shutdown.exe /a" without the "" and there is a space between exe and /a this will abort the shutdown.
