Faulty Nvidia Chip

Your Graphics/GPU chip(s) Need to be Reflowed....
Due to Overheating Issues of the Dv9000, the Chips on the motherboard Fail, To Fix This Issue, the 2 chips will need to be "resoldered/reflowed" back to the Motherboard...You should first Check to see If your exact make/model is listed on the HP list of recalls for that dv9000 series... They will repair it at no cost to you as long as you aren't over a year out of your warranty

Belta notebook usb/network booting windows system?

When you press the power button normally the boot options will display on the screen. Most times it is the F12 key to select the boot option. This is a temporary change only good for the current boot cycle.

Also most times the F2 key will get you into the Bios or System Setup where you can change the boot option and make it a permanent change.

Unit failed to boot and observe the followng; - No start-up display - No CMOS boot-up display - Hard disk clicking sound and OS won't start

Turn the computer off.
Disconnect the AC power supply.
Remove the battery.
Remove the disk-drive.
Reconnect the AC power supply.
Turn the computer on.
Put any "data" disk into the CD-drive.
Does it display the CMOS boot-up display?
Can you hear the PC try to spin that "data" CD, i.e., trying to "boot" from it?
If it works "better" without the disk-drive attached, the disk-drive is the problem.

Systemax Ascent HA3200 RTS won't boot - fans come on - no display

The motherboard seems OK as it is displaying signs of life. The Monitor should display something before booting up, which it is not. Please do the following. 1. Remove the RAM and reinsert the DIMMs into their sockets and boot up. 2. Disconnect the HDD data cable from the HDD and the motherboard and reconnect. Boot up. 3. Disconnect the monitor and reconnect. Boot up. At boot up press F2 and set the PC to default settings. Boot up. Later when you want to apply your settings, keep noting down what you did when. Just in case.

Computer starts then goes to black screen and system recovery wont work error code 257'

Hi,
The display drivers maybe corrupt.

Boot the machine into safe mode. Right click on My Computer (XP) Computer (Vista) and select manage from the sub menu.
When the window pops up select Device Manager.
A device list will populate. When it has look down the list for Display Adapters. Click on the + icon next to Display Adapters to it expands. Right click on the display adapter and select uninstall.

Restart the computer and let it boot in normal mode.
If it boots in normal mode let it detect the Display and install the drivers for it.
I would be a good idea to update the display drivers via the Dell Support website

Regards.

Dual boot

There's probably a problem with your display drivers in XP.
Try booting in Safe Mode (F8 on startup). Now your display should work.
If you boot in safe mode with networking, you can visit the graphics-card manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers. After installing these, try rebooting normally...

I try to change my display size from 800 by 600 to higher and right ufter that my video card show massege that OUT OF RANGE.What can I do to bring my display original size back the way it was.

Boot into Safe Mode and restore your display settings. Tap F8 during the boot process after the memory test until you get the boot menu, choose Safe Mode, wait for the system to boot, - it will look really strange - restore your display settings, reboot normally
