I would say that you loaded a program that kill your receiver. I would suggest to check the voltages from the power supply to the main board. If those voltages appear normal, I would suggest to do a jtag to bring it back to life.
Google "how to jtag a FLU?" and you will find some good info.
Good Luck.

Screenplay hd doesnt show files in it

Are the files "hidden"? If the PC does not see the files, what device did you use to load the files into the Iomega MX? Try going back to the file-source and right-click on them, select 'properties'-> undo 'hidden' check-box. This may fix it.

COBY 610 File System Error

Fix the File System Error of Your
COBY 610

Replacing the firmware of your Coby 610 MP3 Player will unfreeze it and help it act normally again. This will also fix the 'File System Error' that has been popping up with some Coby 610 players. You can find it at the cobyusa.com website by choosing 'Mp3 & Portable', then 'Mp3 & Mp4 Players', then your model 'MP610', from the support page. Or, here is the direct link to the file from Coby's servers.

Unpacking the zipfile from the Coby Website will give you a pdf file with instructions, and a program file to run.

Your music will be erased when you run this firmware update. The instructions suggest that even if your mp3 player won't startup properly, if you plug it into your computer you should be able to access it as a removable disk, and copy all your music to a temporary folder on your computer.

Here are the steps:

  1. Plug your MP610 into your computer.
  2. Copy all your music to a temporary folder.
  3. Disconnect your MP610 from your computer.
  4. Disconnect as many USB devices as possible from your computer (to simplify identifying the MP610 at a later step, and avoid damaging other devices by trying to load the MP610 firmware into them by mistake.)
  5. Run the Firmware Update program 'MP610 T LCD Firmware Update for file sys err.exe'
  6. You will see a screen with up to 24 numbered, empty boxes.
  7. Connect the MP610 to your computer. It will show up in one of the boxes.
  8. Once the MP3 player shows up, click on the Firmware Feature icon to start the firmware upgrade.
  9. After the firmware update is complete, you will receive a checkmark in the firmware box.
  10. Disconnect the MP610.
  11. Close the firmware update software.
  12. Turn on the 610 to confirm it starts up and the display reads 'COBY'.
  13. Plug it back into your computer and copy your music back on to it.

Acer Aspire AX1300-E1820A will not turn on. even if hot wired, I didnot back up my files Help please

Worst case scenario: extract the hard drive from the Aspire (usually its just 2 tiny screws holding
the HDD), and plug this PCMCIA-bus drive into another (functional) laptop. Windows will
mount the drive (but not load the OS). Extract the files using the functional PC's operating system.

In future, always back up your files, or even better - keep no files on the laptop at all - do this
by storing ALL your files to a flash drive. That way, the system can crash an any time (and they do),
and you lose nothing.

Dead Garmin

I had the same problem - worked great for a year and yesterday was totally dead - not a hint of powering up.

I pulled the blue front "frame" off and held the reset button for about 5 seconds. It powered back up and works like a champ!

RCA H125 File System Corrupted

I've had this problem twice now and fixed it once. I'm in the process of fixing it again. Here's what you do, and this is a slow process so have some patience with it. Hook it to your computer then power it off. When you power it back on, with the cord still connecting it to the computer, hold down both the front buttons and the power button. You should now see it saying connecting. It will take a LONG time for your computer to recognize the device and give you access to it in My computer. Once it does, you can then remove the file system and replace it.
