If your truck already has a factory alarm you will need to get a pass module installed to bypass the factory alarm.

I have a new prestige APS-57C remote starter installed in a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and I have a problem with the factory alarm going off every once and awhile. The majority of the time everything is fine,...

Maybe the installer did not hook up the remote starter unit to disarm the factory security system upon entry or remote-starting. Ask the installer to double check that part of the install as it would cause the factory security to trigger even though you unlocked the vehicle with the remote start unit remote.

When use remote starter to start car, factory alarm goes off. How can I use the remote starter without this happening?

It sounds as if your vehicle's factory alarm is not disarming before the remote start sequence. You will have to disarm the factory alarm before start. On most vehicles there is a disarm wire, usually in the door that operates with the key cylinder. To test, probe the wire at the key cylinder while unlocking the door with the key. Some vehicles have the disarm wire in the driver's kick panel, but they operate the same way (with the key cylinder). Other vehicles can be disarmed with pulsing the key sense wire. Some vehicles do not have a factory alarm disarm wire,i.e. some Subaru and GM cars and trucks. They can only be disarmed through data modules. More information on the year/make/model of your vehicle will be needed to accurately solve your problem.

Tried to clean battery posts, went to hook back up alarm went off.tried to unlock doors no luck, tried to start nothing just alarms

Find the Valet switch under the dash and depress / hold it in while someone else hooks up the battery. Then try and start it. Your going to have to break out the manual for your particular alarm (unless it is a factor alarm) and re-program your remotes.

If it is a factory installed keyless entry / alarm then the procedures are in your owner's manual.

When I try to use my autostart my panic alarm sounds, It does it with both remotes and I changed out the batteries. any idea?

try unlocking the doors with your factory remote first then press your remote start button, if it starts without your panic alarm sounding you need to check under the dash and make sure that the disarm wire is hooked up securly to the purple wire at the bcm

Viper 5701 2 way alarm and remote start

Most ford need the door triggers double diode isolated. When the GEM module goes to "sleep" it will set of your alarm . Cut the factory wires where you hooked up the door triggers determine which side goes to the door and which side goes to the GEM module. If it is a negative trigger solder in a 3amp diode with stripe towards the door then solder the door trigger from the alarm to the door side of the diode. Repeat for all door triggers.

Viper remote starter sets off alarm.

Whoever hooked up your system did not hook up the factory alarm disarm and arm wires. Your car thinks it is being stolen as a result of this. You need to get a wire diagram of your car and hook up the proper wires.
