As you probably know the sensor must be pointed at each other for both lights to come on. If tweaking them doesn't work you most likely have a sensor that has failed. Just double check the wiring to that sensor and make sure it hasn't been broken or disconnected.

I have a 3/4 horsepower liftmaster garage door opener, both the remote and the wall button won't close the garage door but both will open the garage door. however, the garage door will close if I hold...

If when closing the door it reverses to the open position and the main light flashes 10 times it is a door sensor problem. Make sure the small light on each sensor is on and not flickering ever so slightly. (check closely) Tweak them a little even though they may seem to be okay. Check for 5vdc between terminals 2 and 3 on the rear of the motor unit. If there is no voltage or if it is greater than 6vdc the logic board is bad.

The opener won't close. My husband said the sensors need to be realigned. Did that and still the opener halts after 2 inches and flashes the light? It is a six year old Sears Craftsman Chamberlain model?...

If the main light flashes 10 times it is a door sensor problem. If the main light does not flash then you can try increasing the down force. This is a control on the rear of the motor unit near where all those white wires go. If this doesn't help you probably have a bad infra red sensor board. This is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor.

Try to re-adjust the appliance so it is level and tips backwards slightly. You'll have gravity on your side to help keep the door closed. You will need help tipping the unit while adjusting the levelers underneath.

Also make sure the appliance is sitting on a solid surface and isn't somehow twisted, which will place stress on the box and possibly cause the issue you describe.

Make sure the unit is not overloaded and that the gasket surfaces are clean. After only 5 years, the magnetic gaskets should not be worn out.

Censor isn't working; temperature rising in frig (freezer ok)

Hi, do you think you could provide a model number. Some of those Samsung fridges have bad control boards at the back which could cause that problem OR the other possible fault could be the cabinet light sensor by the door hinge.( I'm going to assume it is this type based on the symptom you've described)Sooo...If you remove the hinge cover at the top you may find the receiving part of the sensor is misaligned or out of place completely which will prevent the semsor from detecting the door is closed, hence the interior light remains on and the temp rises and all sort's of unwanted side affect's. That is where I would start looking, but I don't even know if your unit has a push button door switch or the sensor style without a model number. However, based on several service calls for this exact problem in the past I'd say the chances are good it's the door close sensor if that applies to your model fridge. Hope that help's, let me know. Thanks for visiting fixya today. Good luck macmarkus :)

Remove and check the logic board for missing or burnt traces. Check closely around the small transformer. Be sure to unplug the unit before you do this.

Frigidaire Dishwasher FDB1050REC1 - Washing Indicator Light Blinking

Here is what happened, you pulled the door open without pressing cancel and allowing it to pump the water out, hence the "flooding in the bottom". This is just one reason why it maybe blinking, there is a water sensor in the bottom. If your dishwasher is hooked up properly to any decent garbage disposal, run the disposal for about 30 seconds to a minute. This should pump the water out, more like activate a light siphoning affect. It should work as normal. If you are not having luck with that, detach the DW drain get it low and let it siphon.
