Operating manual for MPI monitor heater

Hi, whats the difference between a "Model 41" and a "Model "441" Monitor heater? Are the manuals interchangeable and its simply a generational thing?

I have a monitor 41 heater also. I downloaded a pdf file for the 441 if I can just remember the site!

The thumping noise (more like a tick-tick-tick sound) in the bottom right hand corner is the pump starving for fuel. Shut off the monitor and tank fuel valve. change the fuel filter element on the tank,
shut off the fuel valve behind the monitor (there should always be one there), remove the fuel pump strainer cover (use a #2 phillips screwdriver and have lots of paper towels ready), and use a can of automotive carborator cleaner (outside!) to clean the strainer. Re-install, turn on the valves, check for fuel leaks and don't forget to check for fuel leaks (did I say to check for fuel leaks?). press the pump reset button on the lower, right hand side once to allow fuel into the pump. You may also have a blocked fuel line (ice or crud from moisture in the tank). If you're not up to the task, have your oil dealer come out and do it. Also, have the dealer add fuel treatment/de-icer to the tank and verify the tank gauge glass is in good shape. I am not responsible if you break the system, burn down your house or otherwise do damage to yourself, your home, barn, livestock or spill fuel.

i have a hard time resetting my monitor #500 heater on auto set

i have to set heat at 82 to get room temp.at 72 can this monitor 40 be calibrated

I found the Monitor Error Message Codes on their website http://www.monitorproducts.com/pdf/troubleshooting/m.pdf

I also called their tech person at Toll Free: 800-524-1102. He called back and said E13 is usually about cleaning the screen (fuel filter). He told me to look at pages 22-23 and follow the instrux about cleaning the fuel strainer. He did say that if that doesn't work, call a repair person, but I'm going to call back if it isn't fixed.
