Electrolux lux vaccum cleaner hose and fitting/nozzle needed
I have an electrolux lux royal vac, we have one service guy here in our town thats a freaky dead beat who has no clue about anything, last time we used him took 7 months for a tiny part I could have got from china in less than a week.... anyway the hose just split and broke from the attachment that plugs into the vac itself. Where can I get a new hose and attachment? I have tried the electolux site and no parts available on vac cleaners???? HELPPPPP. Rach
Re: electrolux lux vaccum cleaner hose and fitting/nozzle...
Ladies! Go to vaccums24X7.com. They have more parts for older machines than you can imagine. They have good pix to help you ID your model if you can't read the worn spec plate. They have hoses for the 1970's-1990's old "iron horse" electrolux canister models. So does ebay and a few other sites...do a google search and you will find them. Sadly, Electrolux (the company) is more interested in selling new machines than supporting old ones...like everyone else these days. Still my old (1982) Silverado Delux really sucks, so much so in fact that it pulled the liner out of the old hose and would not pick up dirt as a result. A new hose is about $70....you can get a whole new vaccum at Wally-World for that, though as you point out they do not have the vaccum that the older machines do, but then the older machines are always needing work because of their age. I hope that helped you.

Make sure the brush is clear of all thread, string, hair, and similar material that has gotten wrapped around it.
There could be a problem with one of the electrical connections from vacuum to power nozzle, including broken wire in the hose. Check all connections for cracks, discoloration, and looseness.
You may need to take the vacuum to the shop. If so, make sure you take it to an authorized Aerus Electrolux store. Service tech should be able to determine the problem quickly.
Just remember, it just needs fixed, you don't need a new vacuum, and tell them that.
This vacuum has a 10 year warranty on the motor, and 5 years on everything else. Look in the yellow pages under vacuums, for the AERUS dealer, that is the new name for the traditional Electrolux company.....

Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Oreck Upright 014T XL Pro 14 Upr Vac In answer to your question, if the HEPA filter is leaking then you should replace it because it has lost it’s filtration – but my question is – is it on the Oreck, Hoover or Electrolux --- all three have HEPA filters and needs replacing and to make sure that the HEPS filter is installed correctly or other wise the filter will leak and if that happens then contact your local vac dealer in your neighborhood. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://www.hoover.com Telephone Contact our Customer Service Department at 1.330.499.9499 Monday through Friday 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. EST http://www.oreck.com/Customer Service1-800-989-3535 Monday thru Friday Hours are: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm CST Saturday and Sunday Hours Are; 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CST http://electrolux.com/Customer Service1-800-896-9756 Electrolux Home Care Products – North America P.O. The coil spring looks ok but it will not pull the cord back in, any suggestions please. Thanks Dave Ryder Hello, I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The question I have is it the Electrolux or the Royal cordwinder, if the cordwinder is sprung you may have to get a new one or a good used one, it’s been a while since I have done a cordwinder and I have seen it done, but I know when you remove the cordwinder you need to lock in the spring so that it does not loose it tension and re-coil ability. You may want to ask your local vac dealer to see if you need to repair or replace. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. http://www.royalvacuums.com Customer Service For help with a model that is not working, if you want to check an order, if you need help finding a part or service center or have any other comment, complaint or question that is not a technical question about this web site use the link above. Generic problem for all Vacuums Power head hose to fit Power head hose to fit power nozzle PN-4. Electrolux MDL 1401B I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. I would advise because this is an older Electrolux Power Nozzle PN-4 Model #1401B that you could buy a replacement hose of which would save you money or you can spend the price for a genuine hose – replacement hoes work just fine and are less money. www.A-1Vacuum.com1-800-657-1874-- they can ship one to you UPS….
