Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
Make sure that you don't use the plastic type of vent hose. This is meant for non heat, like a bathroom fan. If you have metallic venting, go outside and see if the dryer air is able to come outside with some force. If not there is a blockage in the venting somewhere. If you went for a while without realizing the first one blew off, you could have built up a lot of lint inside the dryer. You will have to take it apart and vacuum it out. If lint gets onto the element when it heats up you will smell it burn.
