He He. Read what you just entered? I suppose you mean screen, how can the speakers work if error is "No Audio Device Detected" You must be at the end of your byte!!.

Serious, no the feeling. Trail and error now?

Pain I know, have done it umpteen times.

New HD means you have had to reinstall your operating sys? I take that as "Yes".

To save you pulling out whats left of your mop, setup your fav sweet/soft drink/comic/ and begin:

Format c: I know, pain. Install your prog setup disc(s) Hint. before placing in Drive, wipe the disc with a clean soft cloth!, a spec is enough to lose a prog!

Went completed and restarted, hope fully you should hear music as it goes through the setup process.
INo need to tell you, what for all the points were you need to enter continue!
Hopefully this should work. Fingers crossed.

My computer doesn't detect my speakers, I do have windows 8

Do you have the AC adapter plugged into a live outlet and have you turned on the speakers? Make sure that the speaker signal cable is plugged into the correct port on your computer (the lime green port on a desktop). Check that the correct audio driver is installed for your computer. (With Windows 8, use the Device Manager to check. From the Start Screen, type in Device Manager. Click on Settings and then select Device Manager. Alternatively, Windows key+C on the desktop. Select Settings and then Control Panel. You can find the Device Manager under System and Security or Hardware and Sound.) Scroll down to the Audio devices. Expand the section and look for a red triangle with an X or a yellow triangle with an exclamation point. Try updating the driver (check with the manufacturer of your computer for the latest driver). Even if you don't see the error triangle, try reinstalling the latest driver.

Next check if the speakers work on another computer. If they don't work, the audio cable may be damaged. Try a different set of computer speakers on your computer.
If other known good speakers do not work and the correct audio drivers have been installed, check the audio output devices. Go to the Control Panel > Hardware and Sound page (as described above). Choose Manage Audio Devices. Check if the HDMI port is set as the default audio device. Disable it for a bit (right click on the device) . Sometimes when a new video card is installed, the audio device defaults to this port. This messes up the drivers for the regular audio.) Reboot the computer and then try reinstalling the audio driver. Reboot again.
If it still fails, there is probably something wrong with the audio device hardware. If you are using an add-on sound card, try disabling it and using the motherboard audio device. (A number of add-on sound cards didn't work well with Win7 or Win8. The on-board audio drivers worked better.) If you are using the motherboard audio on a desktop, try an add-on sound card. (Check for Windows 8 compatibility (drivers) before selecting any card.)

I hope this helps.

I have dealt with a similar problem when I installed a new router. Since my router is used for both hard wire and wireless I had to set a password for the router. Im sure you did to because the password secures your network so another party can not get on your network. Your computer should be asking you for that password. If you forgot it then you have a real problem. You may need to contact the manufacturer via telephone to reset the password. They can walk you through this.

As far as the sound card do you have the latest drivers installed? Also if you a web cam installed disconnect it first then install the drivers for the sound card. Some web cams will conflict with sound cards. I realize your having a connection problem with your internet from your email, but this may help you too. Since you recently reinstalled Window when you install of the updates it may see your sound card and install the latest driver for you.

I hope this helps you out.

Test or replace your PSU power supply unit if the units fan is not working its faulty

one bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems continually rebooting or failing to detect your drive

replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your ((motherboard to hard drive))

make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?

You can download the audio drivers for your computer from the manufacturer's WEB site.
I cannot give you the link to the manufacturer's WEB site because you have not provided the make and model of your computer.

There is no sound from my lg laptop

May be the problem is with your computer settings or perhaps an outdated or faulty driver, and not with the speakers. Checking to see if any settings or drivers can fix the problem is a good idea before attempting to open the laptop or giving in and buying external speakers.Try following steps:

1: Test the audio in more than one program. If audio works in some programs but not others, the "mute" setting might be on in one or more
programs and should be unmuted.

2: Turn up the volume on the external volume control. It may be on the side or on the front of your laptop, or even on the keyboard (some models have a touch-sensitive strip at the top of the keyboard that you might not have realized controls the volume). Also look for any "mute" shortcut keys you might have accidentally pressed (the symbol looks like a speaker with a diagonal line through it) and try pressing it again to see if sound is restored.

3: Go to your volume controls ("Control Panel," "Hardware and Sound," "Audio Devices," "Sound" and "Adjust System Volume"), and under "Main Volume," make sure the slider is slid up and that the volume is not set to "mute.

4: Plug a pair of headphones into the headphone jack on the laptop and see if you can hear sound that way. If you hear noise in headphones or external speakers but not the built-in speakers, either your drivers or the speakers are the problem. Try uninstalling the drivers for your speakers in "Device Manager" and reinstalling them by visiting your laptop maker's website and downloading any updated drivers you need.

5: Open "Device Manager" by going to "Start," "Control Panel" "System" and "Maintenance." Open "Sound "Video, and Game Controllers," and see if a sound card is detected. If there is but there is a yellow question mark next to it, right click it, and go to "Properties," "General" and "Device Status" to see how to fix any problems. You may need to update or install new drivers from your computer maker's website. If there is no yellow question mark, uninstall and reinstall the drivers to see if this fixes the problem.

6: Reinstall your audio device drivers from your laptop brand's website if a sound card is not detected. It is possible some recent changes removed the drivers and made your speakers undetectable, so reinstalling the drivers should fix the problem.

I recently installed new hard drive and have no sound

Identify your sound board - visit the manufacturer website ... search your model and get the driver. You can look in the Device Manager for this information. You may also wish to update or download the driver from within the device manager.

You may wish to go to www.pcpitstoplcom and have your computer scanned. The website will provide you with a free report on all aspects of your computer, software installed, memory, names of components and what drivers are installed and or missing.

This is a free service of PCPITSTOP, though they do sell stuff there. It is certainly worthwhile to take advantage of this free service.

If you need additional help with this, please let me know.

I hope you find what you need

No audio after new harddrive was installed.

What you need to do is open control panel and then device manager, go down to sound, video and game controllers. Open the little plus sign to the left of the little speaker, there is probably 2 devices in there you can right click both of them and delete them, do not worry, they will reinstall once you reboot, and hopefully what will happen is it will install the driver, let me know if this helps...Steve c8f192e.jpg
