Mitsubishi big screen HD 1080 series model WS-55809. it switched off one day. and when i turn it back on it switches right back off. red light in front. what part do i need to fix it/

That model does not have a red light---Green.

If set powers up for a few seconds (green power light) and goes out do the self check the model indicated has:

On front of set (not with remote) press and hold both the input and menu buttons for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Green power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find (if you have unplugged the set that will clear all errors and you have to plug it in and try to turn set on again---when it fails do the self check)

TV won't turn on. flashes a series of 5 red lights instead of turning green

Usually Sony and LG Blinking Codes are the same. Here is what I have.
  • Unit is dead, No blinks - Problem in the standby power section. Might check fuse,
  • Continuous blink once a second, no pausing - No reply from the jungle IC301 (data bus is busy, shorted to ground, or held high), IK video path is defective.
  • One blink - not used for the self-diagnosis
  • Two blinks - B+ over current protection (OCP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 2 blink fault. Could be a short in the power supply of any of the circuits.
  • Three blinks - B+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply circuit,
  • Four blinks - No vertical Deflection (V STOP), Screen goes to a single horizontal line then the video signal muted.
  • Five blinks - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.
  • Six blinks - No Horizontal (H STOP), no raster, goes to the blinking self-diagnosis function immediately.
  • Seven blinks - High voltage shutdown. The high voltage has exceeded 33k and the unit goes immediately into safety shutdown. Check power supply regulation and horizontal circuits.
  • Eight blinks - Problem with the audio (AUDIO), unit goes to standby and blinks the self-diagnosis code.
  • Nine blinks - Panel Module Error or Thermal Error. If it is intermittent 9 blinks, meaning sometimes the TV comes on and other times you get flashing Make sure the regulator is -12 or -13 (negitive).
  • Ten blinks - Check Q8014 and Q8013 for shorts, leakage, or bad solder connections on the " D" board. If the transistors are bad, check R8051 and IC8005, also on the "D" board.

I have a 1995 dodge neon that has the service engine light on and I do not know what to check or replace.i do not have a maintenance manual and cannot find one for free.

hers what you do. grab a pen and a piece of paper. go out to the car and turn the ignition on, off, on, off, on. the engine light will begin a series of blinks. you have to count the blinks. all of the codes are double digit so you will need to pay attention. it will blink however many times for the first number pausing briefly between the will pause longer between numbers then blink again for the second number again pausing briefly between blinks for instance. say the car has a code 55 which it will. it will blink 5 times pausing briefly between pauses then there will be a longer pausethen it will blink 5 more times pausing briefly between numbers. jot these numbers down paying close attention to ensure accuracy and if you reply to me with the codes i will tell you what they are. you can check the codes however many times you need to

Mitsubishi WS 48511 won't come on. Green light on front comes on momentarily, then tv makes a "click" sound and light goes off. Was working fine the night before.

This set should have the self check feature--turn it on and when the green power light comes on and then goes off-----ON THE FRONT OF THE SET PRESS both MENU AND INPUT BUTTONS at the same time and hold them both in for at least 5 seconds--then release both buttons----the power light should blink a two digit error code---for example: 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks---

The set will repeat the code about 10 times

Let me know what error code you get and I will tell you what it means and maybe how to fix the problem.

Tv turns on then right off

NEXT TIME IT SHUTS DOWN: when green light goes out on THE FRONT OF THE SET: press and hold BOTH the menu and input buttons at the same time for at least 5 seconds and then release both.

This is the self check this model has---power light should blink a two digit code---for example--two blinks, a pause and two blinks and the set will repeat the error code about 10 times.

1 blinks and then 2 blinks is NO ERROR DETECTED
2 blinks and then 2 blinks is short protect

ETC.....Let me know if you get an error code and I will tell you what the problem is---hope you find 2,2 that is the most common and the most easy to repair.

I have a mitsubishi 1080 series ws-65315 model i power it on and led light turns off

Did you try the self check feature that this set should have? When green power light comes on and then goes off----on the front of the set press and hold both the MENU and Input buttons together for 5 seconds and then release both of them.

The power light on the front of the set should blink a two digit error code----most common is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks----set will repeat the code about 10 times.

Let me know what code you get and I will tell you what it means and if possible how to get it repaired.

I have several years experience fixing these sets--some are worth fixing and others are not.

When I turn the TV on it shuts itself off in two seconds. It's model WS65909 Diamond Series

This model should have a self diagnostic feature:

Turn set on and when power light goes out----Press and hold on the front of the set both the MENU and INPUT buttons for 5 seconds and release both.

Power light should blink a two digit error code---most common is 2 blinks, a pause and 2 blinks--set will repeat the code about 10 times.

Let me know what the error code is and I will tell you what it means and what may be needed to fix it.

I am here to help people--If you have any questions or need help let me know.
