I have the exact same problem. I first snaked out the plastic drain line. No luck. I have removed the fromt and back of the machine.I removed the front by pushing in the tabs in at the top of the front panel (not an easy task, but do-able). I then dropped a slender plastic hose between the drum and the tub and drained the water out with a device called a python (used to drain my wife's fishtanks). I disconnected the drain hose from the tub (i put a tupperware bowl underneath and had the snake ready. It lost about another gallon or so) but still no obvious clog. I moved back to the top and removed the plastic ring connecting the tub to the drum (lots of ooky stuff on that...i had no idea). Now I'm trying to get the drum out but don't know how to get the agitator loose. Would love to hear your solution if you get one first...

The OB indicates and out of balance condition has been detected by the motor control.
One thing about the OB error is that the lid must be opened to clear the error and allow the washer to advance to the next part of the cycle. If the lid is not opened to adjust the clothes then the OB error will happen again.

If the OB error was cleared and the OB occurs with an empty load then the motor control has failed.

The drain pump must work. The image below shows how to run a diagnostic test to check the drain pump. Follow the instructions in the image below and check the drain pump operation. If the pump runs and the water does not drain then the sump is clogged. If the pump hums but does not run then the pump needs to be replaced.

Hi There
I'm giving you the coeds that you need. So i hope this helps you and let me know how it goes.
Ld Long Drain Ld flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating pressure switch resets.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.
ob Off Balance If the motor controller detects an unrecoverable off-balance condition, the machine controller will shut down and display an ob for Off Balance

The lid switch must be opened at least once before restarting the cycle, if this condition occurs. Opening the lid will allow the customer to view and redistribute the load.

Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display. S Lid Switch Error The control should flash this error code if it cannot detect the lid switch opening and closing properly. This error code may also be used if there is a disagreement between the motor and machine controllers on the stat if the lid switch. The control should not allow the unit to run in this condition.

This code will also appear if the user presses the START key while the lid is open.

Open the lid or press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.Thank you for writing to fix ya.
Best Regards Richard

Calypso washer gives error code Ld or ob. won't finish load or drain

Ld=Long drain. If it takes longer than five minutes to drain the water the operating pressure switch resets. Most common problem associated with this code is a clogged or failing water pump and hoses.

ob=Off balance. Open the lid and redistribute the clothes evenly around the tub, close lid and press the start button.

LD and OB on Calypso

“Ld” flashes if it takes longer than 5 minutes to pump out water to a point where the operating
pressure switch resets.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

OB:
If the motor controller detects an unrecoverable off-balance condition, the machine controller
will shut down and display an “ob” for off balance.
The lid switch must be opened at least once before restarting the cycle, if this condition
occurs. Opening the lid will allow the customer to view and redistribute the load.
Press STOP/CANCEL to clear the display.

Basically, it sounds like your drain pump is bad or clogged, and the extra water is throwing the spin cycle off balance

Ld and ob error codes

hello.........
“LD” stands for “long drain,” meaning it took an excessively long time for water to drain out of the washer. Common causes for this are kinked drain hose or clothing, like panties or socks, caught in the pump suction hose. Why, I’ve even heard of bra wires coming loose and getting stuck in that hose, collecting all sorts of gookus and pinching off the flow of water to the pump. Can you imagine? Yea verily, as surely as the Sacred Suds doth eternally pass my lips, the “LD” error code springs forth from such anomalies.

LD code means your pump is cloged with lint or small piece of clothing such as a sock. I had the same code on my washer and sure enough i found my pump cloged with lint from a blanket my wife washed. hope this helps. sorry I cant help on the other code.
