If u have locked your MicroSD in a S40 phone(5300,5200), and the phone is formatted or not available(physically), then THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN GET YOUR DATA !!!

NOTE: But card can be used after formating !!!!

SOLUTION: To format the card you need a Memory Card Flasher.
Buying it is not a wise decision, as you won't be gettin into the same problem again and again. So carry it(the mem. card) to a Cell phone repairing shop, who has a flasher, they'll do it for you.It'll tak 10 to 15 minutes to format a card(for 1GB). They may charge anything between 50(INR) to 150(INR), depending on how dumb he thinks you are! I got it done for 80 bucks(due to my impatience)@ National Market, Bangalore, India.

I didn't give it in Nokia(they might be having the flasher) as those @$$#0!^& take a week to do these simple things.

Basically, it can be done if you have 2 phones that use the Mini SD (in this case) i.e. 6280/6288 and N73 for instance. just plug in the 'sick' mini SD into N73 and remove the pass from there

download file explorer from the internet using your phone and you will know what to do soon.

put micro sd in mini sd adaptor and put in n73 nokia or try on others simbian nokia where you can put micro sd. with FE explorer go to C:,system>mmcstore and transfer thad file to pc. open with notepad and read pass... u can use other program for simbian who search for all password on phone, input micro sd and scan, i not remember lame of program, search on google...
there are some trick vith E66 nokia. wnit pass for sms. phone change micro sd pass and put pass from sms. i do not know now detail...

i called NOKIA and they told me that the memory card is made for the specific NOKIA 5300 and cannot be used in other phones. it sucks because it means your pictures are lost and gone forever. just like all 300 of mine and tons of ringtones. i know it sucks. basically you and i have not set up a passcode, it is set in place by the manufacturer that the memory card is designed only for that phone and if it is in another phone it automatically locks up. i hope this saves you the time and effort of finding ways to unlock it. oh and by the way PC SUITE will only work if you have the data cable connected to the original phone the memory card is registered to.

Method 1 : Recover memory card password , using Fexplorer.

As I said, we need Fexplorer for this mobile hack .After installation , Browse to c:\system folder in your mobile phone . Here you would find a file mmcstore .This file is actually used to store memory card passwords in a mobile phone . Rename this file to mmcstore.txt and open with notepad . Now you will see the memory card password as it is ,exactly .

Method 2 :Unlock memory card passwords of Nokia Nseries and Eseries phones


The first hack to recover the password of memory cards will not work on Nokia Nseries and Nokia Eseries devices . Here we will use the remote lock feature for re-setting the password . For this , go to your pones settings >Security >Phone and SIM> and then allow Remote lock . The password of your remote lock will be the password of your memory card .So if you want to change the memory card password , just send an SMS containing your remote lock message .

Tak, přátelé, koukňete. Měl jsem stejný problém, ale vyřešil jsem ho. Nevím, co máte za telefon, ale jestli podporuje funkci "Vzdálené zamykání," máte vyhráno!
Předělal jsem fw a pak se nestačim divit. Karta chce heslo. Já ale žádný neznám. Ale jedna cesta tady je.
Menu->Nástroje->Nastavení->Zabezpečení->Telefon a SIM, zde nastavte zámek telefonu. Potom povolte "vzdálené zamykání," zadejte text, který bude brán jako fráze pro zamykání, zadejte zamykací kúod a potvrďte. OK.
Potom si pošlete zprávu se zvolenou frází (pozor na velká/malá) a zamkněte tak telefon. Poté ho odemkněte, běžte do menu->nástroje->paměť->volby, zvolte odemknout kartu a jako heslo napište tu frázi pro vzdálené zamknutí telefonu.A je to. Zámek karty byl nastaven stejně jako telefonu. Moje karta pak ješte hlásila, že je poškozená a že pomůže jen formát, ale stačilo ji vytáhnout, dát zpět a vše funguje normálně. Skvěle!Takže:

1. Aktivujte zámek telefonu
2. Povolte vzdálené zamykání
3. Nastavte heslo pro vzdálené zamykání
4. Zamkněte telefon pomocí textové zprávy - nastaví se nové heslo
5. Odemkněte kartu pomocí nového hesla

Testováno na kartě Micro SD a Nokii E50, FW 7.36.0.0
