Delete it from Control Panel/System/Hardware, reboot, and let the system rediscover it.

This sounds like its disabled not locked. the touchpad doesnt lock its either enabled or disabled. so simply go to the control panel under mouse but sometimes there is a touchpad icon and just enable it. if it is enabled then you will have to check the connection on the motherboard which requires you to take the laptop apart then deseed and reseed the connection. this is usually a 45 minute job depending on the laptop.

Unlock toshiba laptop

Some toshiba laptops have trouble with the touchpad locking up. I have tried using a wireless mouse and it has helped whenever the touchpad locks up. to unlock (I'm assuming you mean log in) you can click space instead of using the mouse.

Problems restoring my Toshiba L305 to factory settings

I'd doubt that the hard drive is bad. Most times the Factory Recover does not work especially from the discs.

Why not try reinstalling Windows, because you've probably wiped out your operating system by trying the recoveries. Look on the bottom of your laptop or inside the battery case for the Certificate of Authentication (COA) Sticker. It will tell you what verion of Windows you have and it will have your registered Product Key Code (series of 5 letters and numbers). If you don't have an operating system disk, then borrow one from a neighbor, friend, relative or co-worker. It has to be the same operating system that is on your COA sticker or it will not work and you won't be able to activate windows. If your COA says Windows Vista Home Premium, you can't use a Windows Vista Home Basic operating system disc.

Sometimes activation can be tricky so when you come to the part where it asks for the Product Key give it the key from the COA Sticker on the bottom of your laptop. Sometimes it will not want yours but want the key that came with the software you borrowed so if it is not on the packaging ask the person your borrowed from to give you the Product Key from their COA Sticker. Don't worry, theirs is theirs and yours is yours.

How do you unlock mouse on Laptop Toshiba? It is locked in the middle of screen.

is your mouse a lead or wireless mouse??? make sure the lead is securely seated make sure batteries are charged and the usb device is insereted correctly
restart your computer repeatedly tapping the f8 key to enter safe mode while the screen is black once in safe mode where the only things working will be your keyboard and mouse allowing you to attempt to repair your computer if your mouse works in safe mode
click start control panel mouse you should see 4 tabs buttons pointers pointer options and hardware under hardware you have options to troubleshoot also you can select properties under driver you will have the options update driver rollback driver or uninstall in xp
or
Restart your computer
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart

My mouse is lock need help please

Good day there, glad to be of assistance to you today.
What kind of mouse is it? Is it a bluetooth mouse with batteries?
1.Is it a regular usb mouse with lights on it? If so, please check if you've got lights on the mouse,it means it's being detected by the notebook. 2.Please shut down your computer first, as soon as the the computer turns off, unplug and plug the mouse back in then power it back on. 3.If that doesn't work, try plugging it to a different usb port and restart the notebook. If it's the same issue, please check if the mouse will work on another notebook when plugged in.
I hope this has helped you resolve your concern. Have a wonderful day.

How to unlock the key pad on a dell latitude D600 laptop

Hi. Please do troubleshooting steps below:

1. Check to be sure your "Number Lock" or "Function Lock" keys aren't lit. These can lock out certain parts of your keyboard. If either of these is lit, press them to unlock the locked portion of your keyboard. These can be found at the top right on a laptop and between the number pad and main keys on a desktop keyboard.

2. Save all open programs using your mouse. Use your mouse to restart your computer. This will only work if your computer isn't frozen. If your mouse doesn't move, press the power button on your Dell until the computer turns off. Press it again to restart. If the issue was lack of memory or a locked program, this will unlock your keyboard. Continue to Step 3 if the keyboard is still locked.

3. Shut down your computer using your mouse or power button. Don't restart. Unplug your Dell.

4. Remove the battery if you're using a laptop by turning the laptop over and sliding the battery release latch. Slide the battery out and replace after one minute.

Have a good one!
