My guitar wont work properly

Hey, thanks for reading this in advance

i was using my guitar of guitar hero some time in the game rock band which started working perfectly. Suddenly when i want to play the guitar, it will only work if i use the black bar (the one which you play notes) only upwards and it wont work if i strum it down, sometimes it moves like crazy in the menu and i dont know what's happening

I don't down strum, so not sure about this, but the guitar strum sensor
getting "stuck" to the point of scrolling for ever in the menus without
anyone touching the guitar, definitely (on wii though).

My scroll bar does the same thing sometimes, it moves up and down uncontrolably without me doing anything. i just recomend restarting and making sure the connections are all right. after i did that it seemed to work fine, but maybe if it keeps happening then you may need to replace it!!

Unfortunately, the guitar that comes with the Guitar Hero does not work with Rock Band or Rock Band 2. Rock Band, as you mentioned, recognizes the Wiimote as the controller for the microphone.

Unfortunately, you will have to get a guitar that is specifically designed for Rock Band.

I know this isn't the answer that is popular, but if you vote for my solution, please vote at least "Thanks for Trying".

This cant be done for the wii sadly because the guitars can not be switched, so you would have to use 2rock band guitars for rock band and 2Gh controllers for Gh.

Syncing with Rock Band.

From Harmonix spokesperson: "Support for the GHIII guitar peripherals in Rock Band on the Wii was not possible without Activision's permission. Therefore, any questions regarding lack of compatibility with GH III hardware should be directed to Activision."
