The low battery light remains on after I changed the battery,

Hello
There are two possibilities for this fault. The first one is with its battery itself. If the battery did not hold current, in otherwords, it has weak, proper charge both in volts and amperes won't hold on it, and when the device draw current from it while it works, voltage drop will occur, and low voltage indication will be displayed.
The second chance is due to the charger circuit inside the radio. If charger circuit do not give proper voltage and current to battery, the battery won't charge to its full capacity.
Check it by replacing it with a new battery [batteries] first. If it helps you it's OK. If not, your radio need service, and its charger circuit must be checked well. OK.

The power was out at my house. I am not sure for how long. When I came home, the time was flashing. I can't seem to fix it. How do you adjust the time without using the time zone button? The hour and...

You do not have to set the clock time as a built-in automatic time set system ise quipped in this clock powered by 3V (2X AA batteries). All you have to do is to plug this clock for power and current time will be shown automatically. However, the batteries can also be exhausted and it is recommended that you replace the batteries every 2-3 years. Probably it is time to replace them.
You can set clock time manually also if you want.

Considering a 9VDC battery keeps the clock alive when power is disconnected, I would guess the clock time is independent of line current frequency. Does anyone actually use motorized clock works anymore?

I had similar problem in 2001 rx300. Every morning the clock

According to the mechanic, The Rx300 are very current sensitive system and even though The existing battery was 3 years old the cold weather made the current go below the allowed limit. That makes the clock reset to 1:00. After replacing the Car battery, the problem when away

No power to the smartset

Sorry it took so long to give you a answer to your problem. You will have to try to reset the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. To do this you must unplug the Clock/Radio from the A/C power source and remove the internal battery. Let the Clock/Radio set with out power for about 3 hours to completely drain the stored current and voltage stored in the Clock/Radio's microprocessor. After you have let the Clock/Radio set for about 3 hours,You can then reinsert the internal battery and plug in in to the A/c power source. The Clock/Radios functions should return to normal. If they do not you will have to change the internal battery and let the Clock/Radio set with out any power for about 3 hours. Put in the new battery (CR2430) and again plug it in to the A/C power source. The Clock/Radio functions should return to normal. If you find you are still having a problem with the function of the Clock/Radio you can call the Emerson customer support. The telephone number for the Emerson customer support is 1-800-909-1240. call them between the hour of 8am-4:30pm CT. Give them the make and model number of your Clock/Radio and ask them for assistance with the problem. I hope this information helps you solve the problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
