Distorted picture on RCA LCD TV (by 6 users)
the picture is curved and distorted with the pictures appearing double
curved picture and seems like triple vision all 3 colors, upper top center cuts off, try to converge but seem's to not appear in the set up menu. When i switch video input (not in use) i could see all 3 color lines across the top upper section of the screen from left to right or viceverse.

-Hi. My name is Lisa and I'm having the problem that pretty much described above. My picture is shadowed by colors in triplicate: blue, green and red. The bar that goes across the unit the provides a description of the program is curved. I've gotten another receiver from Direct TV. A technician had me to do quite a bit to troubleshoot but the problem still exists. I also put in a DVD to see what it would look like and the problem still exists. I've only had this unit for about 2.5 years. Please offer any assistance possible as funds are very tight. Thanks for your time!!

i am having the same problem, rca r52wh77. was watching tv today and all of a sudden went crazy,like the TV was on acid.all blurred double vision and colors.hen i get it to where it has a black screen i see at the top a red,blue,green line bowed. so i took off the back and noticed fl 231 fuse looked diffrent than the others.so i moved it around and the lines flickered then went off, but the picture still is horrible. does that mean its just this fuse? also when i wiggled the black capacitor where the 2 wires go in, or whatever its called the lines would flicker then the tv shut off and came back on?.some help would be appreciated. ive seen on some post configuring the convergance but my menu doesn't offer that?.. my e mail is GixrSixr@gmail.com thanks to whoever can help.....Mark

Have the same problem as the others, tv is less then 2 years old and the screen now looks curved, pictur is 3 d, colored lines curved on top of screen. I read about the flyback transformer and replacing the FL231(400ma). Can you get alittle more specific on how to do this and where to obtain this part. Anything will be helpfull. Hi I have had my hd52 RCA for 18 mnths and same thing has happened. I tried to contact RCA but no such luck I really hate to throw it out I thought it should last longer. Please help

i have the same problem. i have a rca r52wh77 and was watching tv today and all of a sudden the picture went weird. blurred and colored. when the tv is black screened i see blue,green and a red line going across the top bowed what is that? and how do i have it fixed..is this a easy fix to do it urself ..i have skills with electronics but never worked on a TV.. is it a expensive fix at a repair shop?
