Samsung t509 won't charge

I have a Samsung t509 that was working fine when the battery was charged, but after the battery died.. so did the phone. I tried using various chargers, and I even bought a brand new battery.. but nothing worked. I think the charge port may have broken. Is it possible to fix it? If so, is it something I can do on my own?

Exact same problem here. Phone charge port may be broken. Possible that the metal connect inside is bent. Now I can't find a battery charger that doesn't need the phone so unless someone has a suggestion soon I may need a new phone.

Same problem here. my partners phone started doing the same thing just days before my problem.  I'm certain this brand is designed for self-destruction at the 2-year mark.  Will never buy another samsung.

My SCH-a930 won't charge. I still have battery life, and the phone works fine, but the phone won't charge. I have tried multiple wall outlets. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi,
Please, try using another charger with the phone.
If the problem continues, get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and bring the charging port out. The charging port is at the tail end of the phone.
Clean the surface of the panel where the charging port contact the panel with a spirit and allow it to dry for 30 minute. Couple back the phone and i am sure the charging phone will work fine.

My samsung gt 15500 won't charge up. It was working fine 2 days ago and yesterday i brought the usb lead to work with me to charge it with my computer. Nothing happened when i plugged it in so i...

If the phone was totally dead before it refused to charge initially, then the refusal to charge is due to the fact that there was no residual charge left to bring it to a charge, because the battery completely died.
To fix it, kick start the charging process.
Remove the battery, and using a universal charger (desktop charger) charge the battery for say 10 minutes, before re- inserting the battery to the phone and continuing with the normal charging process.
If this does not work out, then problem is with the charging port. It has to be replaced. This can be done by nearby local phone repairers.
Hope it helps?
Success.

My battery dies after being off charger for 4 hours

Ifthe cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be wornout. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cyclesand will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up atall. ORThe battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected thebattery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. Ifthe battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to bereplaced.

It could be a software error . many mobile phone shops provide repair services but it's best to shop around for a good repair price.

you simply fried your battery by overcharging it. Just get a new one, let it fully charge and fully die twice before you start normal charging. Then you will want to only charge it for about 2 to 3 hours or find a charger that has a smart chip that tells it when to stop charging once the battery is full.
