Question about Bosch Dryers

Open Question

Bosch Axxis WTA 3510 Electric Dryer heats, but not very hot and drying a load of clothes takes 90 min. to 2 hours. Our dryer never seems to get very hot. It does heat up, but only barely warm and takes forever to dry clothes. Does anyone know what is the optimum operating temperature inside the the dryer when it is drying clothes? Is there a way to adjust the thermostat on it to make it heat up more? Mark Mongold

Check the fuse. This is a German unit, so every part including the light bulb is 208/240 volts. If the fuse for the dryer on the back is open the unit will not start.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. No Heat issue in an electric dryer is usually caused due to three things mainly: Thermal Fuse, Wiring Harness and/or Heating Element. Start with checking the Thermal Fuse which is mounted inside the back cover panel to the exhaust duct and is mounted in white plastic housing. If that's fine then the Heating Element should be checked. Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

How far should the dryer vent be from the wall to the dryer?

No, you do not want the dryer vent crushed at all. Go to Home Depot and find a 4 inch adjustable 90 or something along that line. The problem will be that your clothes will dry for alittle while and then you will stat noticing longer and longer dry times

well first check the Thermal area inside the unit, if you have an idea doing this, it could possibly easily for you to do the work.. on the thermal area check for any burn fuse or any faulty parts relating or was connected on the thermal area.
