Does the yellow light come on when charging? Could be that the fuse for the charging circuit has gone, or on of the screens has been damaged. If it's only 4 months old and not been dropped etc, send it back to Nintendo I'd have thought.

If your DS Lite's orange light flashes on for a second, then off while
it is hooked up to a charger AND the DS Lite green light does not turn
on at all, you most likely have a blown the F2 fuse. Of course, once you replace the F2 fuse (involves soldering very tiny
parts), there may be other issues that this symptom was hiding (such as
the flashing green light and LCDs not turning on) This problem is usually your F2 fuse has blown, here is a link which shows you where the F2 fuse is, however, it is very small and fixing it will involve soldering a new one in place so if your not wanting to do it yourself then i'd send it in for repair.
