VE-15 3-way floor standing speaker. Why does one of the midranges produce little or no sound?

Definitely the crossover. Follow the wiring back to see where it connects and see what is on the board.

Morning I have a set of KEF Q 5 floor standing

I'd suspect a shorting voice coil in the woofer or a loose connection inside that vibrates and presents a wildly varying load.

Disconnect the bi-wiring jumpers and try driving each 'half' separately as a test for tripping the amp.

My denon avr1200 receiver once it is turned on goes into Protection mode. How do you reset or make work?

The reciever will go into protection mode when there is a short in the speaker wires or the amplifier was overloaded. What I would do first is verify that none of the speaker wire connections are loose at the back of the reciever or at each speaker. And verify that none of the wires are making contact with each other. Then label each speaker wire as you remove them from the reciever so you can re-install them correctly. After you have disconnected the speaker wires try unplugging the reciever for 10 to 15 minutes. Most recievers have a self-resetting overload protection switch and this should reset it back to normal. Now try plugging the reciever back in and turn it on without the speaker wires connected. It should be out of protection mode now. If it is still in protection mode verify that there is not a reset switch somewhere on the back of the reciever. If it is not in protection mode now then proceed to connect one speaker set at a time and turn on the reciever to see if it goes into protection mode. If it goes into that mode after connecting a speaker then that speaker is the cause of the problem. If it does not go into the mode after all speakers are connected then try turning the volume up. If it goes into protection mode then there could be an internal short on the amplifier or a incorrect OHM rated speakers connected to reciever. Verify that the speakers are rated the correct OHMS.

Need to find a cerwin vega 6 1//2 mid range woofer model number v-6f but i would like just the speaker only not the whole floor stand

muz782,
Replacement drivers for home speakers are only sold directly from Cerwin Vega. If you can find one online, it will not be authentic CV.

Picture no sound, was floor model, never used till now, has been in storage, do we need speakers??

If it has an rca jack at the back that say audio out, try connecting that to a recievers input. If the sound plays on your reciever that means the sound processor inside works, at least at the small signal level.

Location for Bose speakers 901

You could, but the boundary effect of the speaker being on the floor will change how the sound is radiated into the room and therefore make the EQ less effective. Best bet is to try to find some sort of stand (maybe even make one out of wood) that put the 901 at the same height the stand would of that came with the speaker.

The speaker and the EQ are designed and engineered as a system.

Look online, the manual for the 901 shows them hanging from the ceiling also as an option.

Subwoofer VERY weak

According to the KLH manual for the 9906 "6 pack" with the BassBite sub... it says "if your sub is connected via the speaker - level terminals, your reciever must be set for "NO" subwoofer - even though you are using one. VErify proper polarity on your speaker connection wires. (red or gold to +, black or silver to -). Depending on how you have your woofer connected to the reciever, if connected to a reciever without a subwoofer out then set your reciever for LARGE speakers and turn the subwoofer setting "OFF". Failure to do so will result in little to no bass. If you do have a subwoofer out from your reciever adjust your speaker size setting to small or large speakers as appropriate. Set the recievers sub output to ON. Connecting small speakers to a reciever set for LArge speakers can result in damage to small speakers.

Hope this helps.
