Kenmore elite dryer # 110.70982990 timer problem

The timer is bad. Specifically the timer advance motor is going bad. It is a little electric motor located on the back of the timer. It movers the knob forward automatically as the dryer runs cutting down on time remaining. You usually have to buy the entire timer, you cant replace just that part.

Wont start where is the solnoid located

First off are there any lights lit on the dash ? Check engine , security ? Does yours have a red light flashing in the center top of the dash panel when you try to start the vehicle ? If so this is for PATS - anti theft system ! Do you hear any clicks when trying to start the vehicle ? This vehicle has a relay controlled by the PCM -engine computer !

I have a grandfather that i purchased in 1980. sold my home after 30 years and used a professional mover. they wrapped the wieghts and the clock was put in storage for 2 months.they refused to move me from...

Moving after 30 years takes a toll in unseen ways.
The clock is valuable for the memories, and it's loss can be symbolic of other losses. Nobody did this on purpose, and the young people hired to move stuff are never as careful as you would be. Years ago, I broke an antique bed we moved. The people said it was their grandmother's. I was inexperienced.

Five possible solutions:

1) Collect from the mover's insurance to pay for repairs?

2) Sue for damages to pay for repairs?
Spend $75-100 and file for damages in small claims court.
Except you don't know which mover caused the problem. Probably the first mover, but who knows?
Gather all the evidence you can, and assume the plaintiff will not show up in court.
Let's say you win the judgement.
Then you might have to hire a lawyer to try collecting the judgement.
People don't have to pay a judgement, unless you get a court order, which takes a lawyer.

3) Contact local clock repair and restoration company. The damage might be easily repaired once all is considered.

4) Do-it-yourself repair advice is abundant by searching 'grandfather clock repair'

5) Forgive and forget, and then buy another clock to replace the broken one.

The green start time is not functioning? I've tried several different green timers and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

You posted under Intermatic-malibu power packs
I test timers, I'm not 100% certain what a green timer is.
If you have tried several different green timers, and each has not performed correctly, I suspect electric circuit has interference.
Buy cheap circuit analyzer at home center, and test outlet.
Mover timer to another outlet, on different circuit breaker, and see if problem persists.

Whirlpool washer does not agitate/wash but the spin cycle seems to work. I've found that the bottom section of the agitator blades are turning but the top section does not turn. I can also turn the top...

Hi,
The problem that your washing machine is not agitating, you will need to check certain things.
Please check the timer to see if it is in good working order or not. Next you will need to check the motor and the motor switch. On some of the newer washers the door switch also controls the motor.
If the motor starts running after the washer has filled to the selected level, but the agitator doesn’t move, you will need to check the following parts.

The agitator dogs. They are located inside of the agitator clothes mover. You will need to remove them and check to see if they are in need of been replace.
The clothes mover. This part is the top part of the dual action agitator. Its job is to move the clothes from the top of the spin drum to the bottom part of the agitator.
You will also have to check the inside of the clothes mover to make sure that the gear like cuts are not worn out.
However another problem could be a broken motor coupler.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com
