Re: kenwwood amp will not turn on

U need a capacitor and a new battery. the capacitor stores reserve power to power the sub and ur old battery isn't producing enough juice for the amp so get a new one

I have two 12 rockford fosgates p3 hooked up to and 350.2 kicker amp i just got them so i hooked them up and my amp will keep turning on and off

How may ohms are the p3's and how are they hooked up? Some amps won't handle less than 4 ohms bridged. Try running one sub to each amp channel.
Also check power and ground connections.
Useing too small of wire for power, ground can cause the same problem.

I think ma kicker kx1200.1 amp is blown or ma kicker L7 are gone

that would be the amp. sorry to say. when a wire crosses over, it sends a shock through the amp, there are a few things to try just to see if you fried the amp. the first thing to try is to move your ground to a different location. second thing to look at would be the fuses. alot of times the fuses will blow at the slightest shock. the amp will still turn on if you have an amp with 2 fuses, it just wont be getting all the power it needs, which could be causing your problem. also, it is worth the hour and a half to mount everything down in your vehicle. you might check the kicker website, because i have herd rumors that kicker offers a lifetime warranty on almost all of their products. best of luck, and i hope you didnt fry your amp.

Green light turns red on hard notes with kicker 750 mono amp

First off, never, ever replace a blown fuse with a bigger one (especially one that is almost twice as big) unless it's an absolute emergency. Most of the time, the reason a fuse blows is because of a problem with the device (in this case, the amp). By installing a larger fuse, there's a very good chance the problem will become permanent (i.e. busted amp).

The amp could be going into an overcurrent mode when the bass hits and power cycling itself to try and reset the problem. If this is the case, take it to a local electronics repair shop and see what they can do.

It's also possible the input voltage to the amp is dropping too low during the bass hit, making the amp restart. Try putting a 1.0F or higher capacitor on the battery to buffer the power during the bass hits.

Amp cuts out but not in to protection

definately wireing wrong some amps dont like the 1.33 are you testing your wiring jobs with a volt meter! just set it to the resistance/ohms and verify that you are actually getting 1.33 or the ohms you want!

Goes into protection mode for no reason

if the amp is powering on the sub and playing and then turns in to protect mode it could be the amp is getting hot and its kicking into protect so you wont fry the amp

Dont know whats wrong

You can check the fuses if it has more than one. Or another thing that might be wrong is that you might have to big of a speaker hooked up. Or your power wire might be to small because if its two small then the amp cant get enough power to power a big speaker.
