Unable to install Radeon HD6450 2gb Graphic card on ASUS P5RD2-VM Motherboard. I am using 32 bit Window xp

Hi, you can download a manual here:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5RD2-VM&p=1&s=22

Please select your operating system.
Select manual and click on global.
Unzip the file before you can read it.
Upgrade the other drivers if some missing.
Run also windows update.

You may have to disable the onboard graphic in the bios.
You can also try to upgrade the bios by using the
asus upgrade utility.

The graphic card must be a PCI-E socket.
I guess the old driver is making a conflict as it is the same brand.

And download the latest driver for your graphic card here:

Upgraded windows 7 from windows xp pro on gateway profile 5.5, but cannot change resolution. All icons are huge.

First of all Un-installed/format it your system and re-installed windows 7 and see it happen again or not? May be, while upgrading your windows XP to windows 7 some file may be left over so while running your OS (operating system) file cannot read properly.

thanks for using FixYa Good luck

I have an old Princeton VL 173 that I had been using with an old computer running Windows XP Pro. It works fine. Got a computer with an Asus MB and a Intel Core 2 Quad running Windows 7 Home Premium...

It sounds like a driver/software issue. When you ran the Princeton VL173 on XP you probably had all the correct software for your video card and the correct drivers to support your video output. When you changes OS to Windows 7, the XP drivers are no longer in place. My best guess is that you need to find and install the correct drivers for your system video and for your video card that are Windows 7 compatible. The old XP drivers will not work in Windows 7.

I am running XP with a Princeton VL173. It works great. I identified the correct video drivers for my system and installed them. My video card is nVidia 8800GT. I downloaded and installed the latest software from nVidia and installed it. It runs like a champ.

Several months ago my display died. It was just blank -- black. I tried using a power supply (AC adapter) from an old HP printer that died, and it worked! The plugs were identical, and the power output profiles were very nearly identical. It has been rinnung great for many months now.

I hope this helps.

ATI RADEON HD 2400 PRO Graphic Card drivers for windows 2000 professional

According to Ati's web site that card does not have drivers for Windows 2000. Here is a link to the Windows Xp drivers that may work. No guarentees but its worth a shot. Other option is to upgrade to a newer version of Windows or find an older card that supports 2000.

Setup is unable to detect card however windows

You aren't very descriptive. Either way. I'm assuming when you say Setup, you are referring to the driver installation setup. Delete/uninstall the driver. Unplug the adapter. Now, start the setup. When the installation goes along, eventually it'll ask for you to insert the card, thats when you insert it. It should then work, if you finish the setup. If thats not the issue. Heres a possibility. You are running windows Vista, or running Windows Vista 64 bit, or maybe XP 64 bit. Either way, you are likely using a 32 bit driver, on a 64 bit machine. Or vise versa. If not then you could be using a vista driver on an XP machine and the XP machine doesn't know what to do with it. I suggest going to dlinks website. There are 3 versions of this wireless card, and that also could be the issue. The first one they released is here http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL-G630 and that only has drivers for XP and 2000. http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL-G630_revB rev B. Also only XP and 2000. http://support.dlink.com/products/view.asp?productid=DWL-G630_revC rev C. also again XP and 2000 BUT includes a Vista 32 bit driver. I hope i helped. Not bad for free...

Hi Sabka, You didn?t mention which revision adaptor you had or what operating system you needed drivers for but Rev A supports Windows XP, ME, 2000 and 98; Rev B supports Win XP, 2000 and 98. Click on the link below and select the rev A or B link then download your driver(s). http://support.dlink.com/products/revision.asp Let us know how it goes and please don?t forget to rate the posting.
