My ipod touch wont work only has a white screen and thats it

Try letting the battery drain. Then recharge it for at least an hour. Then try to restart it.

This is actually really easy to do.

This called a hard reboot.

All you have to do is hold the home button and the power button down at the same time for 30 to 40 seconds or until you get a Apple sign on your screen.

This will reboot your ipod.

If this does not work there is one other thing you can try to do.

Hook your ipod touch up to your computer that you use itunes on.

Itunes will detect a problem with your ipod.

You can try a restore of your ipod from your computer.

If this does not work its time to return or send your ipod back to apple so they can repair it.

In order to reset your iPod Touch, you will need to
press in the Sleep/Wake button on the top left of the device, and the circular Home button, located on the front face on the bottom.

Do this for 10 more seconds and the device should shut down/off. Wait a moment and then restart the device.

That should be all it takes to fix the white screen issue.

Throw it in a bag of white rice for a 5 days. Restaurants use it in their salt shakers to absorb moisture.

Apple won't replace units damaged by water, but theres a guy on You Tube that will show you ways to defeat the system so you can trade in your ipod under warranty for a new one.

Try to reset it. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until either the Apple logo or battery symbol appears. If the battery symbol appears, continue to charge iPod touch until it is fully charged.

If this doesn't work, try restoring the iPod

oh yea man that happen to me u just by a new one

Take you iPod Touch to a nearby Apple store and they will give you a new one.
Or send it to apple and they will give you a new one.
This is a well documented problem that apple is replacing ipods with this problem
your itouch is under warranty...use it

try doing a hard reset by holding the power and home button for at least 10 sec or till the ipod resets no doing a hard reset dose not erase your ipod

My 16gb touch just did the same thing, what i had to do was open up my ipod in itunes and restore it to its original settings. it will take some time to reset all your settings and resync all u'r music and applications but it worked for me. good luck!
