Purchase a frequency counter. They are usually cheap. Try ebay. Get one for under $50.

this will give the the frequency you transmit on when you key it.

What channels are legal to use on a Connex 3300 with 40 upper, lower and regular settings?

only the CB band to TX on.. you may RX on any frequency.
ch.1-ch.40 am and SSB if it had it.. are the FCC allowed channels. yes there are people on those other bands. user beware.

I have a galaxy dx33hml with 120 channels. im trying to make sure its on regular channels. How do i do this?

If you've expanded the frequency coverage, you should have 240 channels, not 120. If that is the case, the link provided will give you the band plan, and shows you which settings the standard CB channels are on.

After you convert the connex 3400hp from ham to amature, what do you do to tune it in where you can reciever and talk? and also how do you tell what channels are regular, uppers, and lowers?

you will need a frequency counter, to show the channels. 1-40 and the others are allocated as frequencies. there are lists available showing ch1 band A is ??? so forth. there shouldn't be uppers or lower on it its just a AM/FM only radio NO SSB.

and these ARE NOT AMATEUR / HAM radios!!!!!!! these are EXPORTS...

I purchased a 3300hp for my truck how do i set the dials for just cb use

your mic gain and rf gain keep all the way to the right at all times.d/a is where you need to be for your basic 40 channels with your band switch on hign. echo ussally around 11 o'clock for both nobs. leave you nbla switch all the way up.tb is your talk back, if you want to hear yourself turn it on.

Please explain a 10 meter am/fm radio

Okay.

You do set this up like a regular CB. The meters refers to how long the waves are. CB is 11 meters. So its very close. The antenna woud be tuneds slightly shorter. Use the SWR meter in the radio to calibrate just like you would a normal cb.

Now for the ABCDEF knob. each letter is 40 channels in the band. So A would be 1 - 40 channels, then B would be the next 1 - 40 channel frequencies. You use the frequency counter in the radio(providing that model has one) to tell what channel you are on.

Here is some info one the frequencies in the band.

Now for AM and FM. this is the type of modulation you are using for transmit and receive.

CB transmits on AM or SSB. Amplitude modulation or Single side band. Most CB radios only have AM. But some also have SSB. None will have FM.

FM is frequency modulation.

10 meter radios can have AM FM SSB and DSB depending on the model and options it comes with.

So your radio has 6 ranges for freqency. each is 40 or 50 channesl. Not sure what model you have. If it has 40 then you have 240 channel freqencies.

with AM and FM, you double that, because you can talk on AM or FM on all the channels. If you are on AM and some one transmits on FM unless they are really close, you will not hear them at all, but if you do with will just be garbbled noise.

Also Am and FM both work a little different with range etc.

Now, you may be able to talk on the CB channels as well. Cb starts at 26.965 MHz and ends at 27.405 MHz. The channels are all .010 MHz appart.

Hope this helps

have you checked the coax connectors? It's gotta be a bad connector, damaged coax or a defective antenna. Careful--don't test "too much" or you'll burnout the final amp!
